Canada x Reader; Maple Leaves

You have been dating Matthew for years. In fact this was your 46 date and 4 year anniversary with the Canadian. You don't know why you felt attracted to the blond haired man. It all started a few days before you broke up with his brother, Alfred. Alfred had you meet his younger brother, Matthew. Your first impression of Matthew was that he looked quite handsome and all around kind. He was quite and polite, except when his brother would tease him. Even then Matthew was still quite! A few days later, Alfred and you thought it wasn't a healthy relationship, so you broke up your lovers relationship, but kept your friendly relationship. Now you were dating Matthew.

Unlike Alfred's dates to burger joints, Matthew's dates were more romantic. He would take you into the woods and make you dinner at his home. You often got flustered around him, and he did the same. For example, if you and him are trying to grab a fork and accidently end up holding hands, you would both pull away and blush the color of Antonio's tomatoes. Unlike Alfred giving you a huge bouquet of flowers every month, Matthew would give you a single flower everyday. You loved him and nothing would change your mind.

Right now you were on a date with the Canadian. It was during the fall, when all the maple leaves turned the colors of a sunset. He said he had a surprise for you at the end of the long trail, so you walked beside him, holding his hand.

"D-do you like it, (Y/N)?" Matthew asked with a faint blush on his face.

"Yes Matthew, it's so beautiful! I wish autumn would last forever." You said with a huge smirk plastered on your face.

"Well, I am so happy you like the walk, but we are only getting started (Y/N)." He said with a smile as he pointed to the secret destination. It was a romantic picnic in a clearing. You smiled and started to cry tears of joy. Matthew looked concern for a second, until you hugged him.

"It's beautiful Mattie! Thank you!" You cried, with tears of complete bliss. He was surprised, but then hugged back. You hugged for a couple of minutes, then released.

"Um, (Y/N)? Before we eat I was wondering," Matthew asked while slowly kneeling down, "(Y/N)? Will you become Mrs. Williams?"

You looked at him in complete shock, but slowly eased into a calm state.

"Yes. Yes Matthew I will marry you! Yes!" You exclaimed, with tear flowing out of your eyes. Matthew placed the ring on your ring finger and passionately kissed you on the lips.
