Chapter Twenty-One

Wake Up

Jason had the best doctors at his mansion hide away who knew to shut up and keep quiet because they love Jason's big fat wallet. One doctor a doctor Trent said her vitals were deteriorating it had been six months since Melody collapsed from all the accumulated stress which made Jason blame himself and for taking that deal he did not know or care about her back then he was just negotiating his own freedom from being a lab rat himself anymore. "Wake up,Melody please" he was always hovering hoping for some good news and he also never left the room he had made a bed and mini fridge so if anything changes he could be there when he was not for this stranger who he feels he needs to save or repay a debt, Jason also ran his gang from this room he literally would not let himself leave fearing that if he did she would feel him going and just let go and let this unknown diseases or syndrome win but for Jason that was no answer so he stayed.

"Boss we need you?" Zach a trusted friend also a known player and pretty boy came in he was a fashion sense man who loved adding notches to his belt of course with bedroom brown eyes and dirty blond hair with the height nearing at five foot ten no one could blame him for his good looks not even his friend and boss " what does 'we' need Zach" he showed Jason a recording of some of these guy's doing a double deal with Jason's enemy or as they call themselves his competition "it's a tag and bag does not require my presence" Zach was pressing upon Jason that as the leader being M.I.A over a guilt trip plus the unexplained year he was gone before that made the other member's question Jason's competence as a leader "do you question my leadership Zach?" Jason looked up at his friend the muscular guy looked away "she's changed you man..you don't even see it" Jason was now mad "she did not change me i changed myself..but don't you forget that i am your boss and LEADER so go back and spread the word but until Melody wakes up i am not leaving this room" Zach walked over to the bed where she laid and was about to pull the plug which was induce a deeper and fatal coma so Jason sprang into action pushing his friend against the wall.

Punches and fists went flying blood was dripping after about five minutes later Zach was on the ground bleeding but not beaten just a few gashes and a bruised ego he spit out the blood "Get Out!" Jason exclaimed while his left arm and hand pointed to the door and as Zach left Jason had his back to Zach "i hope for your sake shes worth it" and after that Zach was out and Jason tightened his left hand into a fist "she is" then he went over to an unconscious Melody and placed a small kiss onto her forehead "please live" after that he went to his chair and turned on the television to watch some cartoons or play a video game while he waited just like every other day since Melody's deep sleep.
