Chapter Forty-Two

I Need You

They awoke on a beautiful Thursday morning but what happened was unexpected there was someone in the cabin Peter got up and took the gun he had on him and pulled it out "HOLD STILL OR I WILL SHOOT!" the female silhouette turned and the red hair like fire glowed "A-Ariel?" he came out into the light. "I want in!" Ariel says but Peter remains on guard "how do I know your not being controlled?" Ariel looked like she just swallowed a sour patch kid "do I look like I'm being controlled!" then Peter scanned her body full of injuries she clearly fought her way through the facility and town so Peter lowers his gun but keeps it in his pocket "how did you find us?" Ariel sits at the table "I found the Darlings and begged them to tell me so I took there instructions and came here immediately" so Peter got some cereal and a bowl with milk and a spoon then gave it to her to eat "whose 'we'?" Ariel asked Peter looked over at Rapunzel and Ariel smirked "you finally got her back huh?" he turned back and responded with "yeah and it was not easy she forgot how much I love her that I would die for her!" he seemed more mad now but calmed down.

"Easy tiger you got her back meanwhile my Eric is just so far gone....never mind" Ariel looked at the bowl and took a spoonful and ate it then Rapunzel finally wakes up tired and groggy from the previous night of first Ariel only smirks at Peter "seems you've been busy" he smiles wide and proud "she is my wife, we belong to each-other" Rapunzel gets up slowly and comes to the table "so whose this?" Peter looks toward Ariel "my name is Ariel Triton better known as a mermaid but now I'm a trapped fish in a tank, we were best friends once upon a time" Rapunzel was to tired to be shocked so she nodded and went to make some eggs. "So while you two were on your little honeymoon it's been hell out there I nearly got caught...." Ariel was swaying then suddenly fell over and started to convulse "ARG....Eric....god stop it!" she was screaming and writhing in pain scares and burns were appearing throughout her body and on her face "what do we do oh my god Peter what is happening?" Peter's eyes did not indicate shock but rather concern "it's one of there experiments...when we were divided I got a peek into on of there computers and its a nerve program which connects them physically and mentally the couples who are together to cause pain" Rapunzel was shocked was Jason aware that Ariel was here or was he just torturing her for escaping.

"We have to help her!" Peter shakes Ariel ignoring Rapunzel speaking to him hollering tears streaming down her eyes she sees Ariel struggle so she does something drastic she takes a small kitchen knife and stabs Ariel in the foot "AHHHHHHHHHHH" a long and painful yell comes out of Ariel she snaps back to reality. "You psycho! god!" Ariel takes her foot into her hands trying to keep from bleeding further Rapunzel goes to the bathroom and gets a needle and thread and goes back Ariel trusts her and so she starts sowing up the wound and the other wound that appeared seemed to disappear as quickly as they came "I did not want to stab you but I needed to help you" Rapunzel sees a smile appearing on Ariel's face along with another along Peters "that was brave" he said to Rapunzel and Ariel said under her breath "thank you" Rapunzel smiled but realized that an act of heroism is a scary and life threatening thing.

"Let's hope they don't do this again" Peter does not even believe in his own words and neither do Rapunzel or Ariel "we have to move forward much sooner then we planned,we can't let them do this any longer" Rapunzel never looked more furious or serious not for what they did to her and Peter but what they did and are doing to everyone else, Rapunzel went to get Ariel some new clothes as the scares are gone but the blood is not she grabs a pink t-shirt and blue jeans hoping Ariel is her size they both walk into the bathroom and clean up while Peter finishes cooking breakfast "how did you snap back to reality or rather the current state of things?" Ariel is direct with her lime green eyes blazing with questions "Peter never gave up he stole me away more then once and I fell for him in my alter ego or life and when we made love I remembered everything but even before then I saw flashes of my memories of him" a blush comes into her cheeks "well that does not help me wit Eric one bit...but cute story though" Ariel puts on some make up as well but Rapunzel never was good with that so they exit the bathroom and join Peter for some food.
