Chapter Forty

The Reason

After a beautiful night Rapunzel woke up to the sounds of Peter's heart beat's going on like a song 'thump thump thump' it was calming a melody for her ears. "Morning" Peter looks down and Rapunzel replies with a blush and a smile "morning to you too" Peter kisses her on the forehead a sigh escapes "I wish we could stay here forever, just live in this moment" Peter only smiled "we have to go back for our son" Rapunzel agrees with him after all it is never to late to be a mother so Rapunzel headed to the shower to clean herself up a bit as soon as she turned on the facet then the shower head Peter pops in naked with a 'let's play' face on and a grin while staring at her body "GET OUT" Peter did not care much for privacy so he proceeded inside "your beautiful inside and out to me, besides I am nervous too now you can see all of me" Rapunzel evaluates his body scanning every single inch then arriving upon Peter's blushed face makes her giggle they both were uncontrollable but exposing one another like a nerve.

"You must be the reason I'm alive" Rapunzel is surprised by her own words but now that everything is out in the open she realized inside her heart the reason her favorite fairy tale was 'Peter Pan' the story of a lost boy because she was his lost girl the reason for the legend they ran away for love she finally felt everything and was a beautiful disaster at this point but having Peter with her holding her hand and saving her even though she ran away Rapunzel kissed Peter in the shower there they were bared to one another exposing not only there bodies but there heart's becoming one again with a single kiss.

"You will always be my reason to be alive" Peter responded and reciprocated the kiss it was a light kiss it felt perfect, the softness of his lips fit hers like two turtle doves. Both of them squeaky clean Peter left first then Rapunzel who knew a shower could be a beautiful moment she thought to herself once out the door "get dressed, there's a world out there that we should see" Peter was referring to a date so she charged over to the bed and laid out the clothes that were bought at the hotel boutique.

They made a day of it because of the upcoming battle both of them knew that day's like this were either numbered or none existent once everything begins. Peter took her shopping and some food in this adorable old fashioned diner it was classic another perfect day but at the back of there minds the hours were counting down until the big face off with the boy who ruined there happiness Jason McCann.

But there smiles never left there mouths neither did there eyes ever part from each other's gaze. Once it got late they headed to get something to eat at the hotel and watched television once they turned on the news Rapunzel's insurgent mother appeared she was a female agent working with McCann but a skilled actress making a plea for anyone to contact authorities if they've seen her daughter "I love you my Melody Ariel Lane just know we'll never give up looking for you!" she faked a few tears but Rapunzel knew those people were looking so her and Peter went on the move checking out of the hotel and getting there car together they headed for there safe haven "Together" Peter said then Rapunzel replied "until the end, I love you" and into the night they drove.
