"How'd Jughead do on his first day?" Bec asked as the two James siblings sat across from each other, eating Top Ramen. She shrugged and then nodded.
"He did good, he just... needs to understand the severity of the Ghoulies." She stated. "But other than that he's doing fine." Bec laughed and nodded.
"Did he meet the whole gang yet?"
"No, only Topaz. He seemed alright with her though."
"She's hard to not like." Bec nodded. She nodded and laughed.

Mila drummed her fingers on her desk in her English class as the teacher droned on about a book she had already read.
"Fahrenheit 452, by one of my favorite authors, Ray Bradbury." Mr. Phillips said, holding up the book. "Let's start with the title, Can anyone tell me it's significance?"
"What? Damn it!" Sweet Pea growled. Mila groaned, shaking her head. Mr. Phillips sighed, shaking his head as well.
"People, come on. There's a burning book on the cover." Mila looked up and then looked back anywhere but the front.
"Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper burns." Jughead stated, Mila looked up and sighed, closing her eyes. "It was a pleasure to burn." He quoted.
"Thank you, Mr. Jones." Mr. Phillips nodded, "Welcome to Hell. I hope Ms. James has showed you the way of Southside High." Mila gave Mr. Phillips a tight smile and then looked back down. The bell rang for lunch and students hurried out of the class. Mila started to put her binder away when she noticed Jughead wasn't next to her. She looked up to see him talking to the teacher and she quirked an eyebrow, walking up behind him.
"I was wondering what happened?" She heard Jughead say, he turned his head to see her and smiled, intertwining their fingers.
"Drugs and Gangs came to Southside High." Mr. Phillips sighed, "It's hard to get students into those type of things into the school paper."
"I'm into it." Jughead nodded, "And i have experience too, i'll put in the work. Mila, Another girl and I wrote for the Blue and Gold back at Riverdale, M's a really good photographer."
"Are the articles online?" Phillips asked, contemplating over the idea. Jughead nodded with a smile, "I'll take a look at them and let you know."
"Thanks, it means a lot." Jughead nodded.

Mila watched Jughead as they sat alone at one of the tables in the cafeteria. Jughead was reading his book and Mila smiled at the sight, He looked up and smiled. "What?"
"Nothing, just gazing." She smirked. He shook his head a little and reached his hand out, grabbing hers.
"Do you want to go sit with your friends?" Jughead asked, she shook her head, still looking at Jughead.
