'That night i realized it was like we'd been playing a game of Snakes and Ladders. Me, Mila, Betty, Archie, Veronica. And in one fell swoop, we all slid off the board and into free fall. And not just us, other people as well, Maybe innocent, maybe not, had been dragged into our game. And as old wounds reopened, and new ones were torn, and feelings that were buried long ago resurfaced. It was all bound to happen.
And as the holidays rolled around it was worse. In ye old en days, every December, a lord of misrule presided over the winter holidays, called back then, the Feast of Fools.

Mila James was completely and utterly lost. And to make matters worse, it was Christmas time in Riverdale. And Mila hated Christmas, especially this year. She usually would let Jughead drag her to a stupid movie marathon, but not this year. She was still slightly crying from the previous advents. She had cut off all ties to the Northside. It wasn't worth it anymore. She had been invited to Kevin Keller's secret Santa and she had bailed on that. She had gotten various calls and texts from Betty, Veronica and Archie telling her that she should call, which she ignored.
A knock on her door made her sigh, the door opened and Bec walked in with a present. "I don't like presents, you know this." She sighed.
"It's not from me, it's from Ju-" He cut himself off seeing her face and sighed, "He who shall not be named."
"You can say his name, i'll still have to see him, School, serpents business, when i'm with Fp. But he also knows i don't like presents." She stated, standing up and throwing it on her dresser. "But, i need to go help Fp."
"You call me if you need anything." Bec sighed, she nodded, walking out the door.

Mila was at the Whyte Wrym working on the annual charity drive the Serpents do every year, She sat with Sweet Pea, wrapping presents. "Oh my god, how have you gotten worse at wrapping?" She laughed.
"I'm glad my struggles amuse you." He said rolling his eyes, happy to see her smiling.
"What is all this?" Mila looked up seeing Jughead walking in, her face fell and Sweet Pea nudged her with his boot.
"Hey, you're good." Sweet Pea stated with wide playful eyes making her laugh. Jughead heard her laugh, looking towards her with a heavy chest, to say he missed her would be an understatement.
