"Who's hungry?" Jughead called out as he and Mila walked back into the hospital for what felt like the hundredth time, with food. "We've got burgers, fries, onion rings..." Jughead stated.
"Nice, Jones." Reggie nodded, patting Jughead's back. Jughead cringed as Reggie touched him. They set the boxes of food down on the table and everyone sprung up to grab some.
As soon as everyone had food, Archie had pulled the other four teens to a separate table where it could be just them. Jughead sat down beside Mila, slinging an arm over the back of her chair.
"You know he'll be proud of you." Betty said. Archie just frowned and Jughead sighed.
"She's right dude, you've amazing lately. You've been a champ getting through this." Jughead added in. Mila watched as Archie got lost in his own thoughts.
"Archie?" Mila asked, The redhead looked up and frowned, "You know you can tell us anything, right? We're all here for you. Maybe we can help." Mila said slowly. Archie knew the brunette would understand how he felt, she had gone through the same thing twice. Archie nodded, running his hand through his hair.
"There is something i haven't told you." He confessed. "I-i haven't said anything, b-because i'm so ashamed... After the guy pulled the trigger, i should've gone straight to my dad, or gone after the guy, but- but i was afraid, i was paralyzed. I couldn't move, not even when he came up to me and h-held the gun to my head, all i could do was close my eyes." Archie explained shakily.
Mila frowned hearing his words as Archie took a deep breath, "I don't know how long, but long enough for him to take my dad's wallet. I still didn't open them, not until i heard the bell... he was gone."
Mila's hands shook in anger, she wanted to know who had the nerve to come into her home and hurt one of her friends and someone who was like a father to he. Jughead noticed and grabbed her hand, trying to relax her.
"There was nothing you could of done." Betty said comfortingly.
"No, that's not true. I could've done literally anything, anything to help my dad, to get the gun away from him. But i was afraid." Archie said, "And now my dad and I, we're witnesses, pop too. He has my dad's wallet, all of his information, he could come back."
"Archie, do you understand that you did help your dad. You got him here before ambulance could come. If you even tried to get the gun out of his hand, you could be dead too, and no one wants that." She stated. Archie nodded slowly and everyone had a sinking feeling knowing the worst wasn't over.

Archie had gone back to Fred's room to be with him, Mila and Jughead couldn't take the tension in the hospital so they walked out of the hospital to go back to the trailer. The doors opened and Mila groaned seeing the pouring rain.
"Do you think he's gonna wake up soon?" Mila asked.
"Yeah, he is." Jughead said as they stood under the onning. "It's coming down pretty hard." Jughead said looking out to the rain. "Should we walk? Isn't dangerous to ride in the rain?"
"I guess, but do you really wanna walk in the rain?" She asked, putting her hand out and then pulling back in.
"Our lives are worth more than getting a little wet." Jughead stated. Mila laughed and nodded, the couple walked out in the rain and started to make their way towards the southside. Jughead slipped his hand into hers and she smiled to herself. "Do you remember when we were ten, and that really bad thunderstorm rolled in. You left your house and came to mine, just to feel safe." Jughead said.
"Yeah... we were so young back then. I still don't like storm though." She laughed. "I felt so safe with you, and then we fell asleep under the table, and when we woke up the next morning it was bright and sunny, and instead of under the table we were on the couch." She said looking down to the ground. "Are we safe here anymore?"
"We'll do what we've always done." Jughead sighed, "I protect you, and you protect me. We've got each others backs and that's all we need." He said, pulling her closer.
