Pickens Day was running smoothly, to an extent. Fred Andrews hopped on the makeshift stage of the gazebo and tapped on the microphone. "Hello, Riverdale. Happy Pickens Day." He smiled. The crowd cheered, "On behalf of Lodge Industries and Andrews construction, we are thrilled to kick things off with a new twist on an old favorite. So.... Veronica and the Pussycats."

Veronica stepped on stage, starting to sing, Mila looked to Jughead in the distance, hearing the song starting.

"You ready?" She asked. He nodded and she turned to everyone. "Let's move!" She put the ducktape on her mouth. The Serpents starting to walk forward with their signs. Jughead and Mila walked side by side, quickly catching everyones attention. They all moved towards the front, to stand in front of the stage. The music stopped and Veronica stepped down.

"Toni? Mila? Jughead? What the hell is going on?" Toni lifted up her Megaphone.

"We're here representing the dead and the silenced. Pickens day is a lie. General Pickens, slaughtered the Uktena tribe, my grandfathers family. And this land, the land that we're standing on, the land that will soon give way to a new Southside was stolen from them. And we can't bring them back," Hiram lodge stepped forward in the middle of Toni's speech, going to stop them. "But we can, and we must honor them."

"Hey folks," Hiram said into the microphone. "Hi, uh... i think we can all be proud to live in a Riverdale where young people stand up for justice." Hiram said quickly, all the serpents glaring at him. "Where a young woman can defend the honor and legacy of her grandfather. And where we can celebrate the living legacy, of the Uktena, who contribute to the rich tapestry that is Riverdale, that is the Southside and that will be SoDale.

So let's hear a round of applause for that, Am i right?" The crowd started to cheer. "That's right, what do you say, people?" The applause continued, and Mila walked forward, hugging Toni. Jughead noticed how upset the girls were and how Hiram was dismissing the truth and quickly turned angry. He ripped the ducktape off his mouth, going to march forward but Thomas grabbed his arm.

"No." He said. Hiram looked over to the angry serpents not knowing what exactly he should do.

Mila and Jughead were sitting outside in between the trailers. "You did everything you could." She sighed.

"I failed, M. They won't listen." He frowned.

"We can't make them listen. If they don't want to, all we can do is fight."

"Well then i guess we'll have to keep fighting."
