"Mila, Jughead, the sandbag was an accident and the letter was a prank, right?" Kevin asked the next day.
"Yeah, it seems like it." Jughead nodded.
"I checked the bags yesterday, they were fine before we started." Mila assured.
"That's what i thought." Kevin nodded, "But then i found this in my locker. Another letter from the black hood." Kevin said, pulling out another letter.
'This is your last warning to replace Cheryl. Next time, the sandbag won't miss'
The three shared a look, not knowing what to do.

"Due to some unforeseen circumstances,-" Fangs put a hand on Kevin's shoulder, making Kevin put his hand up and Fangs pull his hand away quickly. Mila quirked an eyebrow at her fellow Serpent who avoided her eyes. "Cheryl will no longer be playing the role of Carrie White."
"What?" Toni asked with a small glare.
"Why? Josie asked at the same time. Toni's eyes turned to Ethel who had a small smile on her face. Mila was aware of Toni and Cheryl due to a late-night phone call from the pink-haired serpent, beaming about it.
"Let's just say that Mama Blossom wasn't a big fan." Mila excused when Kevin failed to come up with one. Alice scoffed, shaking her head.
"I think Cheryl's by the gym bleachers," Mila whispered to Toni, who got up quickly, rushing to the gym.
"In the meantime, Cheryl's understudy will assume the role," Kevin announced. Mila watched as Ethel's face fell and there was a hint of anger in her eyes.
"Understudy?"
"I appointed one after the sandbag incident." Everyone sat silent and Kevin sighed. "Midge Klump!" Moose started to clap for his girlfriend, everyone slowly joining in afterward.

Mila hit the remote and 'Stay here instead' started to play. It was the first rehearsal with Midge as Carrie. Alice started to sing her part in a back cloak. Mila watched as Betty looked shocked by her mother's performance.
Suddenly Alice changed the words, from saying 'My Carrie' to 'My Betty' then getting on her knees. Alice looked like she was actually about to cry when she put her head down."Mom?" Betty asked worriedly.
"Don't leave me, Betty." Mila looked anywhere but the stage, the conversation or simple words felt too personal for her to be there for. "Don't leave me like al the others." Alice started to sob, walking off stage. Betty got up quickly walking off to her mother.
"Am i directing a trainwreck?" Kevin sighed. "And where's my tea?"

"My mom's always been a woman on the verge, but this..." Betty sighed, Betty was now doing her personal interview. "I have to do something to help her, guys. Something to make her feel less alone and abandoned."
Personal interviews always felt too personal for her to be there, but Kevin had asked her to assist Jughead on them. Take Archie Andrews' personal interview for example:
"When Kevin came to be about Carrie, the musical, he said i was the literal embodiment of Tommy Ross. Loyal, selfless, a hero, a force for good. But I'm none of those things. I'm not the hero of any story... lately, I've been going down this dark path, ignoring how much i hurt my dad." He was talking about working with Hiram Lodge against his father.
"Do the right thing, Arch," Mila said with a sad smile. The red-head nodded and smiled at his old friend.

Opening night, Mila couldn't wait for it all to be over. She'd spend hours backstage, making sure the music ran smoothly. "You look nice." Jughead smiled. Mila looked at her outfit with a confused look. She was wearing a black cropped sweatshirt and black jeans with her normal boots.
"Really?" She asked somewhat confused. Jughead's face fell as he shook his head.
"Do you ever just take a compliment, Angel?" Jughead asked with a playful frown. Mila pretended to think about it, shaking her head.
"No, not really." Jughead laughed, bending down and placing a hand on one of Mila's cheeks, and kissing her. She felt like she hadn't actually kissed Jughead in forever. Their kiss started to get heated until someone cleared their throat. Mila and Jughead pulled away seeing Kevin.
"Jughead, don't you have a job to be doing? Not making out with your girlfriend?"
"Aye, aye, captain," Jughead said as Kevin walked back towards the dressing rooms. "I'll see you in a bit," he said, giving her a quick kiss and then walking off towards the dressing rooms.
"Cockblock," Mila muttered.

Mila watched from backstage as the first act went on. It was the scene where Midge was in her closet and Alice was singing her song.
"All right, Carrietta, it's time to come out of your closet." Alice called out. Mila pulled the ropes to lift up the set, She tied the rope in place and when she looked up she gasped at what she saw.
All the blood brought up flashbacks. Suddenly someone's arms were wrapped around her, Jughead."Shh, it's okay, it's okay," Jughead said, hiding her head in his chest.
On the stage, it was Midge, dead. Knives stabbed into her with the words 'I am back from the dead, all those who escaped me before will die...' were painted in her blood on the wall.
"For god sake's help her!" She heard Cheryl shout from the audience. Alices scream made the whole audience scream.
"Hey, hey, come on, let's get you out of here."
