The Southside couple was enjoying alone time they hardly ever got, especially as of lately. "So does the saving of energy mean that we can't have s-" Mila started, but Jughead cleared his throat, looking behind Mila. The brunette quirked a brow, turning around to see their Red-headed friend.
"Hey, guys...." Archie said quietly, Mila got up, going to sit next to Jughead, letting Archie sit across from them. "Um... Hiram asked me to hand you this."
Jughead quirked an eyebrow, opening the envelope.
Jughead pulled out a golden piece of paper with the words 'Notice of Demolition' In bold letters.
"Hiram's trying to tear down Southside High by the end of this week?" Mila asked in disbelief.
"He's supposed to give the neighborhood at least a six-week notice," Jughead said angrily. "Who'd he pay off?" Pop Tate walked up to the table with a smile.
"Can we get two more glasses of water, please, Pop?" Mila smiled. Pop smiled at the brunette, nodding and walking away. "Thank you."
"Guys, my dad got shit, right here in Pop's, because Riverdale was sliding off the deep end. A-"
"Things have been sliding off the deep end for a long time, Arch. Things just recently got bad for you, don't make excuses." Mila glared. She blamed the Northside for her parents' death, when they both lost their jobs at a grocery store on the Northside, they both turned to alcohol and drugs. "Hiram's plans are just dragging it to the bottom so it has nowhere else to go."
"No, his plan can shore things up, Mila. It can make Riverdale more secure for everyone, that's a good thing, not the end of the road." Archie argued. "And why do you two care so much? You left the Southside to be with Jughead, M., And Jug, you've been at Southside high for like... four days."
You do realize that we were born and raised on the Southside right?" Jughead asked with an arched eyebrow. "My mom, dad, and Jellybean."
"My mom and dad, Bec," Mila added. "Especially for me, the southside is the last thing i have of my parents," Mila said, her jaw clenching. Jughead frowned, placing his hand on her thigh. Archie looked down to the table, guilt-ridden. "That is until your master and dad tear it down." She glared.
"Actually, my dad's against this whole thing." Archie sighed. "He's pulling out of the deal with the Lodges, that's how against it he is."
"So you're choosing Hiram's side over your dads." Jughead scoffed.
"We just have different views, okay? I don't like it just as much as you don't." Jughead glared at the redhead, leaning forward.
