[Ash]
Its him! Its Merle!
"Hey! Y'all be more polite to man with a gun! Huh? Ah! Only common sense." Merle says as he jumps off the wall.
"Man, you wasting bullets we ain't even got!" T-Dog yells at him. Merle laughs. "And you're bringing even more of them down on our ass! Man, just chill."
"Hey! Bad enough I've got this taco bender on my ass all day. Now I'm gonna take orders from you? I don't think so, bro. That'll be the day." Merle says.
"Merle!" I scream and run to him.
He turns and looks at me. "Ash?" He says confused as I run up and hug him. He laughs and hugs me back. "I was wondering if you survived or not. You doing alright?" He asks seriously.
I back away and look at him. "Yeah, I'm doing alright. Better now that I found you." I tell him.
He laughs again. "You got that right! You safe now, lil sis!" Merle says hugging me again.
"Are we missing something here?" Glenn asks.
I turn and look at them. Merle laughs and slings his arm around my shoulders.
"We known each other since she was in diapers. Been the three of us against the world, huh lil sis?" Merle says.
"Yeah, it still is. Hey, where's Daryl?" I ask him.
"Back at the camp. Safe and sound." He says. I smile up at him.
"I got my bros back." I say to him.
"You never lost 'em." He says ruffling my hair.
"'That'll be the day'? You got something you want to tell me?" T-Dog ask.
"Hey, T-Dog man, just leave it." Morales says.
"No." T-Dog snaps.
"All right? It ain't worth it. Now Merle, just relax, okay? We've got enough trouble." Morales says.
"You want to know the day?" Merle asks.
"Merle." I warn.
"Yeah." T-Dog says.
"I'll tell you the day, Mr. 'Yo.' Its the day I take orders from a n*****." Merle says.
"Merle!" I snap.
"Mother-" T-Dog screams and punches Merle. Merle hits T-Dog in the face with the barrel of his gun.
"Hey, come on, Merle. That's enough." Rick says as he hurries over to us. Merle punches Rick in the face, knocking him to the ground.
"Merle!" I grab his arm.
"Stay out of this, lil sister." He says as he pushes me back.
Everyone's screaming and throwing punches at everybody. I'm screaming at Merle to knock it off when Merle bangs T-Dogs head against the metal pole and starts kicking him to death.
I look to Rick. I run to him and get down. "Rick, are you okay?" I ask him.
He doesn't answer and I look over to see Merle on top of T-Dog holding a gun to his face.
"Merle! Stop it!" I scream at him.
Merle stops, and spits on him and wipes it around. "Yeah! All right! We're gonna have ourselves a little powwow, huh? Talk about who's in charge. I vote me. Anybody else? Huh? Democracy time, y'all. Show of hands, huh? All in favor? Huh? Come on. Lets see 'em." Merle says holding up his hand.
He points the gun at them. They all slowly raise their hands. "Oh, come on." Andrea whines.
"All in favor? Huh? Yeah. That's good. Now that means I'm the boss, right? Yeah. Anybody else? Hmm? Anybody?" Merle asks.
"Yeah." Rick says behind him and as Merle turns around, he hits him in the face with the butt of his gun.
Merle falls to the ground and Rick sits on top of him, handcuffing him to a pole. I run up to them.
"Who the hell are you, man?!" Merle screams.
"Officer friendly. Look here, Merle. Things are different now. There are no n****** anymore. No dumb-ass-shit, inbred white-trash fools either. Only dark meat and white meat. There's us and the dead. We survive this by pulling together, not apart." Rick tells Merle as he checks Merles gun.
"Screw you, man." Merle says glaring at Rick.
"I can see you make a habit of missing the point." Rick says.
"Yeah? Well, screw you twice." Merle says.
Rick gets up and points the gun to Merles head. "Rick!" I yell.
"Ought to be polite to a man with a gun. Only common sense." Rick says.
"You wouldn't. You're a cop." Merle says.
"All I am anymore is a man looking for his wife and son. Anybody that gets in the way of that is gonna lose. I'll give you a moment to think about that." Rick says as he digs into Merles pocket.
He pulls out some drugs. He holds it out in front of Merles face. "Got some on your nose there." He says as he flicks his nose.
"What are you gonna do? Arrest me?" Merle asks with a laugh.
Rick throws it off the roof and Merle starts screaming at him.
I bend down to Merle as they start talking about important stuff. "What do you think you were doing?" I ask him.
He looks at me. "Speaking my mind." He says.
I shake my head. "You can't do that, man. Not anymore. You speak one wrong word, you could be shot or betrayed. Merle, you have to stop with this nonsense. Please. Before someone gets hurt." I tell him sadly.
He chuckles. "Look around, lil sister. We've already been hurt. Nothin' you can do to change that." He says.
"But we can change that. We can stop hurtin' people. Start protecting 'em." I say looking at him with big eyes.
"Yeah, remember last time somebody protected somebody?" He asks.
I glare at him and slap him in the face. He looks away guilty. "You know better than to ever bring that up! I know what happened, okay?! I watched it happen! And I never let myself forget! But that is no excuse. We can still protect people. Maybe not always physically, but we can protect them mentally as well. Merle, we just have to give up our old lives, okay? That's not who we are anymore." I tell him, noticing everyone looking at us.
"It may not be you, lil sister. But I have never changed." He says.
"I can see that."
