3rd POV
Dale looks through the motor of a car on the side of the highway. T-Dog walks up behind him. "We are gonna have quite a collection of spare parts, I tell ya." Dale says.
"Shouldn't they be back by now?" T-Dog asks worriedly as he walks around.
"It's still light. Let's not worry just yet." Dale says and looks over at T-Dog. "How are you feeling?"
Yesterday, during the herd, T-Dog was trying to hide behind a car and slashed his arm badly.
T-Dog looks at Dale and then starts to pace around. "T-Dog? I asked you how you were feeling just now. Please don't blow that question off." Dale says as T-Dog leans against a car.
"It really really hurts. It's throbbing something awful." T-Dog says.
"Oh, let me see..." Dale says as he puts his gun down and pulls the white bandage back. They see how bad it looks and T-Dog winces. The veins on his arm are turning a dark color, almost black. Dale puts the bandage back into place but accidently touches the wound.
T-Dog cries out in pain as he pushes Dale's hand away and pulls his arm closer. "Don't touch it! Don't touch it!"
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Dale says worriedly. "Listen, your veins are very discolored. You have a hell of an infection there. You could die from blood poison."
T-Dog laughs hysterically. "Oh, man. Wouldn't that be the way? World gone to hell, the dead risen up to eat the livin', Theodore Douglas get done in by a cut on his arm!"
"Yeah, that would be -- that would be stupid." Dale says as he grabs a laughing T-Dog by the shoulders to hold him up. "I've been saying since yesterday, we've gotta get you some antibiotics. We've been racsacking these cars the whole time. I can't believe we have not found some Ampicillin or something in the whole place. Can you?"
"Seems like there would be." T-Dog says looking around.
"Yeah, that's what I think." Dale says. "Well, we uh...we haven't been thorough enough. So let's look some more."
The two begin looking through more cars and looking for some kind of antibiotic. Dale walks onto the RV to check on Ash. He walks in only to see her gasping for air and her face turning a light shade of blue. He runs to her side in a panic.
"Ash! Hey, it's okay. Just breathe." He says as he starts doing CPR. She chokes and struggles to breathe as blood trickles out of her mouth. He quickly turns her on her side and the blood pours out onto the floor as she continues to gasp.
Her eyes open and they roll to the back of her skull as she seizes. "Ash! Don't you do it!" Dale screams as T-Dog runs in and Dale slams his fists onto her chest, continuing CPR.
T-Dog runs over and stands helplessly to the side as he watches his best friend cling to life. Dale breathes into her mouth and then starts pumping on her chest again. Her back arches and Dale and T-Dog take a step back in shock before she falls to the bed again in silence.
They breathe heavily as they try to process what they just witnessed. Dale slowly walks over and puts his two fingers to her neck to check for a pulse. He sighs in relief as he pulls his hand back. "She's alive. I don't know how, but she's alive."
They hear yelling outside and they quickly hop out of the RV to see the rest of the group, aside from Rick, Shane, Carl, and Lori, walking towards them. "Where's the rest?" Dale asks as he steps out.
"Carl's been shot." Glenn says.
"Shot? What do you mean shot?" Dale asks as he walks toward them.
"I don't know, Dale. I wasn't there." Glenn says out of breath. "All I know is that this chick rode out on a horse like Zorro and took Lori."
Dale looks at Daryl. "You let her?"
"Climb down out of my a**hole, man. Rick sent her. She knew Lori's name and Carl's." He says as he walks toward his bike.
Dale turns to Andrea. "I heard screams. Was that you?"
Andrea ignores him and walks away as Glenn answers his question. "She got attacked by a walker. It was a close call."
"Andrea, you all right?" Dale asks and Andrea ignore him once more before walking into the RV.
"How's Ash?" Glenn asks and Dale freezes before turning to Glenn with a worried look. Glenn's face drops. "No..."
"No, she's still alive." Dale says and Glenn sighs in relief. "She had a seizure or something right before you guys came."
"Is that why we heard yelling?" Carol asks and Dale nods.
"Yeah." He says and then looks back at the RV as Andrea comes out with a horrified look on her face. Everyone rushes to her. "What? What is it?"
"A-Ash...is -- is she..?" She says as she shakes uncontrollably.
"No, she's fine. She just had a seizure." Dale says.
"What?!" Daryl exclaims and runs into the RV. What he sees horrifies him. There is a pool of blood by her head on the bed and on the floor and her body is covered in sweat. Her skin is extremely pale and you can see some veins on her forehead.
He walks to her side and pushes the stray hair out of her face. Her skin is sweaty and hot to the touch. SHe is coming down with a fever. Dread washes upon him as he looks to her shoulder where the bite mark is securely bandaged.
He goes to turn around when he sees her eyes wide open and staring at him in fear. She tries to move, even just her head, but is unable to do so. Her body is in so much pain and she doesn't know what to do so all she does is stare at him as tears glide down her face.
He drops to his knees and holds her face in his hands. "What's wrong? It's okay. You're gonna be okay." He says as he tries to calm her down.
"I-I'm g-gonna d-d-die, a-aren't I-I?" She struggles to say as she breathes heavily.
Daryl chokes on a sob as a tear slides down his own cheek. "Nah, you're gonna pull through. You always have. You -- you ain't leavin' yet. You can't. Do you understand me?" He asks as they both start crying. He lays his forehead against hers and cries. "You ain't leavin' me. I won't let you. You hear? You pull through!"
"I-I love you, Daryl."
