[Ash]

"Oh my god." Glenn groans.

"Where the h**** our van?" Daryl asks.

"We left it right there. Who would take it?" Glenn asks.

"Merle." I say staring at the spot where we had left the van. My eyes droop but I shake my head, trying to get rid of the dizziness and tiredness.

"He's gonna be taking some vengeance back to camp." Daryl says.

I step back dizzily and lean against the wall. They look back at me but I put my hand up to stop them from saying anything. "I'm alright. I'm alright." I say but then fall to the ground and lay my head back.

They rush over to me and kneel down. "What's wrong?" Rick asks quickly.

"Nothing. I'm fine." I say trying to stand up but falling only to be caught by Daryl.

"You ain't fine. Look at ya'." Daryl says sitting me back up against the wall.

"Were you bit?" Rick asks worriedly.

I shake my head. "No... I was gettin' sick before I met you. Its nothing. We need to get back to camp." I say, trying to stand up.

"But you can barely stand." Glenn says putting me gently back against the wall. I glare at him.

"The camp is more important. We need to go. Now." I say and stand up with Daryl's help.

They all sigh in annoyance but we start back towards camp at a jog, me being carried on Daryl's back. By the time we reach the edge of camp, its way past dark.

There's screaming and growling coming from the camp. We come around the corner and see the camp is infiltrated by walkers.

Rick starts shooting along with everyone else. Daryl jogs up into camp, shooting them down. Suddenly, I'm on the floor and a walker on top of me.

I try to push it off but my arms become numb and my vision blurs. I hear Rick scream for Lori and Carl and then Carl crying.

The walker is suddenly off of me and I lay on my back, breathing heavily, as I can no longer feel my arms nor see. "Ash! Come on!" I hear Daryl screaming from above me.

I hear, I think Andrea, crying screaming Amy. I feel someone slap my face softly. "Ash, can you see?" Rick asks.

"N-no... R-Rick... H-help me..." I stutter, terrified and out of breath.

"I will. We will. We just need to get you somewhere safe. Somewhere you can get help." Rick says.

I feel strong arms pick me up and carry me somewhere. I hear a creek and then I'm placed on a hard-soft mattress. I see a blurry version of I think Daryl.

"D-Daryl?" I ask.

"Yes. Now, go to sleep. We leavin' in the morning to get you somewhere, little sister." He says as I feel him pull a blanket up to my chin.

I just realized how cold I was. But I feel sweaty and gross.

I barely see Daryl's figure walk out and I close my eyes to fall asleep. But, I find it difficult because my stomach cramps up and I feel like I'm about to puke.

I finally find it in me to fall into a restless sleep.

I wake up to moving around on the bed. I open my eyes and remember that I can't see clearly.

I hear the engine and realize I'm in the trailer. Its moving and I don't know who's driving or who is in the car.

"H-hello? W-who's there?" I stutter.

"Its me. Its Carol. You're gonna be okay. We're on our way to the CDC. You're gonna be okay." She says soothingly as she sits on the bed next to me.

"W-what's wrong w-with me?" I ask.

I hear her sigh as she places her hand on my forehead. "We don't know. But I promise you, you're gonna be fine. You'll survive this." She says, placing something wet and cool on my forehead.

I feel like I'm about to puke so I try to roll over quickly and I feel Carol pull me to the edge of the bed then she gets up and come back quickly. "Here. In this." She said as she pulls me to the end of the bed.

Once I'm done, she rolls me back onto my back and sit up slowly with Carol's help. "Thanks." I mumble. I see her blurry head nod a bit.

"We're stopping. Its Jim. He isn't gonna make it." I hear Dale say from up front and the trailer stops.

I hear car doors shutting around the trailer and then I feel someone helping me stand up. Its Carol.

"Come on. Let's go say goodbye." She says. I don't really know Jim since I never talked to him before. But, It's still nice to say bye. I guess he was bit since no one really told me anything.

She helps, more like drags, me out of the trailer and down the steps and then I feel her set me down in some grass, leaning me up against a tree.

I hear them talk to Jim and then everything goes silent. I feel the need to speak up. "H-hey Jim?" I ask, turning my head to where I had earlier heard them talking.

"Y-yeah?" He asks.

"T-thank you. Y-you helped k-keep these p-people alive. A-and you d-deserve s-so much b-better then this. I-I'm sorry." I say to him, trying to give him a smile.

"Thank you." He says. I nod my head and then I feel someone pick me up bridal style and carry me back to the trailer.

They lay me on the bed and cover me back up. "That was nice of you to say that." I hear Rick say.

I smile up at him. "I w-was only being h-honest." I say to him. After a couple seconds I speak again. "Rick?" I ask.

"Yeah?" He asks.

"Rick, I'm s-scared. I d-don't know what's w-wrong with me and w-what if the C-CDC can't help? I'll t-turn a-and-" He cuts me off before I can say anything else.

"Hey. Hey. You're gonna be fine. They will help you. They'll know what to do. Don't worry about it, okay?" He says soothingly.

I nod my head but feel tears roll down the sides of my face. "Okay." I say, but what if they can't help? I'm scared and I don't think I can get through this.

I've always had a weak immune system and when I just got the common cold, I was sick for months with worse symptoms. What would happen if I got a dangerous disease that's fatal to regular people?

I would and could die.
