I was walking through the woods, it was bright out which I was glad. I had a rough sleep and I actually wanted to be back in my own bed, in my own home. I wondered what my parents were doing. I knew I shouldn't be worried at all. I stepped on a branch and I saw a woman from behind who had snakes on her head. I didn't think those people existed but I knew from pictures and such that had to be Medusa. I didn't know what to do so I started backing away slowly but before I knew it. I had actually stepped on a branch and it broke in half and immediately she turned towards me and I looked away. She tilted her head and tried to make me look in her eyes but I wouldn't let her win not even remotely.
"You must be Apollo's boy that has been spreading around the town" Medusa told me and I just sighed. This town must be so boring that they have to keep track of who belong to who.
"What if I am" I spat back out at her. "I'm not afraid of you and you do not want to mess with me at all" I snapped at her. Medusa let out a booming laugh at me before analyzing my body.
"You this little skinny boy think can take on me" Medusa spoke through breaths of her laugh. I just rolled my eyes. I felt the heat radiating off my hands. Medusa backed away from me quickly. I felt white in my eye sockets and just like that I had Medusa screaming in pain. I attempted to look to see that Medusa had completely turned to stone. I just backed away into a wall and I slid down a wall in shock. I had no idea I had blinded someone to the point that I turned even Medusa into a stone. I took a deep breath before grabbing my bag tight and I continued to walk through Medusa's lair. I just kept my eyes focused in front of me. I wasn't going to let Medusa ruined my life even more.
I was feeling nerves building up inside of me but I kept going. I heard screaming into of my bag and through it to the ground. I opened my bag and I saw the scroll was opened from Hermes. I opened it, it was Zeus hovering over Apollo who was shaking and looking pale. Zeus was looking straight at me.
"Zeus" I greeted him. "What's going on?"
"It's Apollo something got inside of him, it's making his body weak. You need to find the cure otherwise say goodbye to the god of music and prophecy" Zeus exclaimed to me and I just sighed to myself.
"What exactly am I looking for" I asked Zeus while I sat down on a rock in the wilderness.
"We need a cure Lyric and we need it fast. The illness is making the sun disappear as well as Apollo cannot stop spurting out prophecies at all" Zeus informed me and I felt myself get a sense of nerves building up inside of me. I didn't want Apollo to be sick.
"I will help him and you" I told Zeus and Zeus just nodded his nodded about to end the chat.
"Zeus, please keep me updated" I told Zeus and Zeus just sighed but nodded.
"Hermes will keep you informed about your father's condition but Lyric you need to save Apollo and fast" Zeus hung up the chat and I just rubbed the back of my neck. I needed to save Apollo but I don't even know what would work to save Apollo. What could make Apollo not be able to heal himself? It must be so bad that it even affecting Apollo in this way. I just continued to walk through the woods once again ignoring the feeling that something was very wrong. I looked up at the sky and it was already turning dark. Apollo was the god of light but without Apollo the world was starting to look dark and gray. It was alarming. I saw a light flashing through my bag once again. I opened the scroll this time, it was writing what I'm assuming was prophecies.
