"I swear you are acting like this boy actually matters to you" Zeus was now screaming at Apollo and Apollo just kept glaring at the head god. I wanted to step in and stop this all this fighting.
"Just stop" I told them stepping in between Zeus and Apollo. "Look Apollo apologize to Zeus of what you just said and Zeus I know you don't like me. I get it. I don't need to be liked by everyone. I dealt with it my entire life this isn't new to me. If I'm causing so much problems maybe it would be best if I go home now" I told them while gathering my stuff and I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder, it was Aphrodite and she actually looked so sad and I looked at Hera who was actually scolding Zeus and Zeus was actually ignoring her. He left the room with Hera in tow. I was now all alone in my so-called room with Apollo and Apollo was rubbing his neck. The tension was building in the room.
"I don't want you to go" Apollo tapped my shoulder and gave me a sad smile. "Stay at least one more night, enjoy your room for tonight and let's train one more time" Apollo suggested and I just smiled at him.
"I don't want to go. I actually like it here but I will have to go back home and on earth and such. I have to confront my demons" I said to Apollo and Apollo sighed.
"I know but stay one more day Lyric please" Apollo asked me and I nodded my head and Apollo gave me a big hug and I couldn't help but hug him back. I was actually content in the hug and I wished it would never go away. Apollo pulled away while rubbing my hair and he walked to the door.
"I'll let you have some alone time" Apollo stated to me and I smiled at him and as soon as my door shut closed. I sighed before jumping on my bed and staring at the wall. I looked at myself in the mirror. I traced every scar, every memory. I didn't want to remember what happened to me but I will always have these marks on my skin. I hated the dad I grew up with but some part of me still loved him and he actually made my mom happy. I just wanted my mother to always be happy but I knew that it wasn't the case. I heard a knock on the door and I answered the room door. I saw it was Hermes, he gave me a soft smile and sat down on my bed and urged me to sit back down on the bed. He handed me something and I looked at him.
"It's to communicate with your mother. I think she's worried about and I know you haven't spoken to her in months actually" Hermes patted my shoulder before getting up from my bed and I just grabbed Hermes shoulders.
"I have a question" I said to him Hermes and Hermes urged me to continue. "When I go back down to Earth to my home does that mean I will never see Apollo or even get to speak to him." I asked Hermes and Hermes was looking down at the ground.
"Maybe you should talk to Apollo about this" Hermes was about to leave but I grabbed his arm once more.
"Please, Hermes you know Apollo he wouldn't give it to me straight" I wanted to know the truth and Hermes sighed while fiddling with his hands.
"The truth is this, Zeus is not going to want you with Apollo at any point. Apollo does care about you but Gods aren't good parents and they never will be" Hermes told me with a sad, small smile. I just nodded my head while biting my lip trying to hold in my tears. The tears were clouding up my vision like when snow covered the ground during winter. "I'm sorry Lyric" Hermes was about to leave.
"You don't see your own kids" I asked him and Hermes didn't turn around but he just stopped in front of the door.
"No, I don't and that will be one of my biggest regret considering that kids I have died in battles and such" Hermes mentioned to me and I sighed. Hermes now walked out the door leaving me once more all alone in my room. I put the mirror on the desk and I sat down at the desk. I turned on the mirror and I saw my mother in the kitchen humming to herself. I was smiling to myself because she was cooking. It was the first time I ever seen mom cooking any type of meal.
