When I finally arrived in front of my house, I held onto my backpack strap tightly in my hands, my hands were turning slightly red. I was nervous to be back at home. I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest. I knocked on my front door, and that's when the door opened right away to see mom smiling at me. She hugged me tight and I hugged her back because I actually did miss her.
"Wow my boy have actually grown up" Mom exclaimed to me while examining me. I did grow up; my hair was longer and was in need of a desperate haircut. "You hungry" Mom asked me and I nodded my head because I was actually starving.
Mom and I walked into the house, the house that I actually grew up in. The house was somehow different to me. It didn't feel like home but I think it had to be because I was away for so long. The house actually smelled delicious, mom urged me to sit down at the kitchen table. I sat down in my own seat and I reached inside of my backpack to see my cell phone that I somehow forgot that I packed. I turned it on to see tons of messages from both Autumn and Evan. I couldn't help but smile at the cute messages that Evan sent. The doorbell rang and mom ran to get the door, she opened the door and greeted the person. I was just looking down at my phone trying to catch up on what I messed in the world when I went on my little trip. I felt a tap on my shoulder and there stood Evan. He smiled at me and I smiled at him. I got up from my seat and we hugged each other tight.
"I missed you. School isn't the same without you there" Evan told me and I just laughed a little bit at his comment.
"You are ridiculous" I punched his shoulder and Evan tilted his head and smiled at me.
"Maybe but you like it" Evan told me. We both sat down at the table while my mom dished out my favorite dish which happened to be lasagna. We were eating the food pretty fast. Mom left to go upstairs leaving me and Evan to catch up on with each other.
"How was California" Evan asked me and I just smiled at him. I wanted to tell him the truth about the world of Gods but I know that I would come off as crazy and I didn't want that to happen. I actually liked Evan to be honest.
"It was amazing you should go there. I mean it was nice and warm down there" I told him and he just nodded his head.
"You know your mother is actually pretty cool unlike my parents. She actually let you go all the way to California in the middle of the school year" Evan said to me and I just nodded my head.
"Yeah I'm lucky to have her" I told Evan and Evan looked down at his watch before getting up from his seat. We put our dishes in the sink and Evan turned towards me with a smile.
"I have to go before my parents start arguing. I really don't want to hear glass break or be there when I enter my house" Evan grabbed my hand. I just nodded my head because I could totally understand what Evan was going. Evan tilted his head while leaning into me and he placed his lips onto mine and I kissed him back. I wrapped my arms around Evan's neck and Evan pulled away with a smile on his face.
"Wow" Evan said to me and I just bit my lip while trying to hold in my chuckle. "If I knew that the kiss would be great then I recommend you go away more often" Evan stated to me and I just shook my head at him.
"Okay than. I'll see you at school" I told Evan and Evan kissed my cheek before I walked him to the door. He left leaving me with some dopey smile on my face. I walked back to my room while sighing to myself. I just was feeling so happy because Evan was perfect and I couldn't believe that he was actually interested in me or still is. I couldn't find any fault in Evan at all. I wished I could because then I wouldn't have to worry how he would break my heart. Evan was just too perfect. I looked at myself in the mirror and looked down at my hands. It was slightly glowing but it was alarming to be causing me any trouble in the slightest bit to be honest. I just put on my pajamas while I continued to unload my backpack and that's when I saw a book in my bag. I sat down on my bed and I stared reading the first page of the book. It had Apollo's handwriting on it.
