Ch. 22

"Yes, I have to go to school. It's now or never" I told mom while grabbing my backpack and I walked out of my house. I decided to walk to Autumn's place and it only took me a good five minutes. I saw Autumn on her steps.

"Hey Autumn" I greeted her and her mouth dropped and I rubbed the back of my neck. "Can you please stop staring at me" I looked down at my shoes.

"You look actually hot" Autumn commented to me. "I could barely recognize you at all." I couldn't help but laugh at Autumn's comment.

"I guess you could say I had a glow up" I commented to Autumn and Autumn shook her head while grabbing my arm. We walked side by side on the way to school.

"Don't change who you are just because you got all hot" Autumn told me and I just nodded my promise.

"I pinky promise you" I told her while holding my pinky up and Autumn linked our pinkies together. We walked through the doors of our high school and I felt eyes following me. I didn't like this at all. I went to my locker and Autumn went to hers. I placed my backpack in my locker while removing my books from my lockers. I walked through the doors of the classroom and I sat down in my old seat. I was tapping on my desk while I saw my old bully. The funny thing I wasn't scared anymore, I defeated a Titan and I also beat Hades in his own domain. There was no way he would make me scared not ever again. I have powers and I wasn't going to use them but I guess my appearance was different but I changed. I felt like I was more confident with myself and I was not going to be ashamed of myself not ever. The teacher came into the classroom and was looking around the classroom. The teacher was taking attendance.

"Lyric Green" The teacher called my name.

"Here" I yelled and that's when everyone turned towards me with shock that I wasn't that little 13-year nerdy boy. I was still nerdy but I didn't look the part at all I guess. I sat there taking notes bored out of my mind in class.

The next thing I know it was lunch time, the bell rang, and I grabbed my books I walked out of my classroom not before I passed Evans.

"Hey Evan" I greeted him and Evan mouth dropped to the floor and I felt my face getting hotter by the minute. "Why does everyone keep staring at me like this" I asked Evan and he grabbed my hands.

"Because you look hot and your outfit is everything" Evan said to me and I just couldn't help but smile because I never was called hot or anything but weird and ugly.

"Well thanks" I told Evan and Evan smiled at me while kissing my cheek and he rushed with his teammates to get to practice. Evan winked at me and I bit my lip. I walked away and towards Autumn's locker. I held my books to my chest while sighing a bit and I could feel a smile being placed on my face.

"You seem happy" Autumn pointed out to me and I just shrugged my shoulders.

"I guess I am. I really like Evan" I confessed to Autumn and Autumn just laughed while jumping up and down.

"I knew it. I knew it from the moment you two looked at each other" Autumn said and I rolled my eyes at her. She was acting like a little kid to be honest.

"Whatever you say" I commented to her while we both walked away from her locker. We were heading towards lunch because honestly, I was starving and when I'm hungry, I'm not pleasant to be around at all. I was eating chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce, everyone at the lunch table looked at me like I was crazy but I was far away from that only if they knew my secret. I would be locked up in a mental institution or the government would do testing on me so I would never be able to tell another soul at all.

School was over and I was getting ready to leave with Autumn until Autumn pointed at Evans who smiling at me.

"Hey guys" Evan greeted me and Autumn. "So, you guys want a ride" Evan asked me and Autumn.
