IZZY'S POV

It was November. Three months since I had ended things with Niall. Three months since I had talked to Niall.

He didn't call me, and I didn't call him. I was in college, and he was in London. The only things I heard about him were what I read (just because I dumped one of the members didn't mean I wasn't still a hardcore Directioner) and what I heard from Matt.

The next day was Chloe's funeral, Matt's sister. She had died a few days ago. I didn't know her, but Matt had made her out to be really amazing.

As shallow as it was, I kind of didn't want to go. Just because Niall would be there.

I didn't know how things were between us. The boys had just released their second album, and Niall had written a song called Summer Love.

I assumed it was about me because, well, we were dating all summer. And he told me he loved me.

I would just have to wait and see.

Not many people were at the funeral. All the boys, Liam and Zayn's girlfriends, Allison and I, Matt, and Matt's mother. Matt's mom was a mess, but that was to be expected.  We all offered our condolences, but that didn't really make a difference.

Matt and his mother went home. Harry and Allison went to a movie or something. She had told me all about her plan to use him for fame. Now, it was easy to see that she genuinely loved him. So I could just let that little revelation go untouched.

Liam and Zayn went to a little café with their girlfriends. Louis tagged along, solo. He had dumped his girlfriend. She had been cheating on him, which hadn't really surprised Louis.

That left me and Niall. I was standing just outside the gates of the cemetery. I began walking down the sidewalk, going nowhere in particular.

Niall jogged to catch up with me.

"Did you hear the song?" he asked.

I knew exactly what he meant. The song he'd written. For me. I nodded.

"I miss you," he admitted.

I stopped and turned to face him. "I miss you too."

He smiled. "Swag?"

"Swag."
