I walked through the capital city followed by Kofo, Vrosvurs, Anri, Crescentia and Hikari.

I looked around and spotted the leader of the Acheron clan, Raitoningu, advancing forward.

I looked around for a short cut and signalled the people behind me to follow wherever I go.

I ran to the shortcut before Raitoningu saw me and hid behind a building.

'Where to?' Crescentia asked.

I looked around for a route and started walking until I came across a manhole.

'Down here,' I said, taking off the manhole cover and jumping down into the gloomy depths below.

Immediately after I jumped down, the smell from the sewers invaded my nostrils. I tried hard not to retch as the others jumped down one by one behind me.

'Ready?' I asked them.

They murmured their replies and followed me down the side of the pipe, one by one. The smell didn't get any better the further we walked. It only got worse.

I assumed it was night when we got to a resting place.

'Rest here. I'll take the first watch,' I told them.

Hikari stayed where he was while the others settled down for the night.

'Hikari, get some sleep,' I urged him.

He shook his head and sat at the entrance and stayed awake, 'I'm staying awake with you.'

I nodded at him and sat opposite of him, getting ready for an eventful night.

Looking down the walkway, I saw a light advancing towards us and heard a hiss as flames hit water.

'Everyone! We need to go!' I yelled at the others.

They got into action and quickly gathered their weapons. Someone had somehow lit a fire in the sewer and it had spread despite the water.

I started running the opposite of the fire as it advanced towards us, forever advancing closer and closer until only a thin wall between us and the fire stopped it.

Someone had somehow managed to track us in the sewer and set the fire to get us to somewhere.

Somewhere where the clans met.
