Jiin jumped down from her spot and stared me down. She was one of those demons who were mysterious and didn't talk at all.
'Hello, Jiin. Been a while,' I remarked.
No reply.
'You're not gonna talk?' I asked her.
She held her hand out. I walked down into her palm and saw nothing.
Jiin signalled for me to lift my hand up to see what was in her palm. I did so and saw what she was holding.
A gem.
She clenched her hand again and put the gem back in her pocket and got ready to fight.
'Are we gonna fight?' I asked.
I got an arrow from the sheaf again and got my bow, ready to aim in case of an attack.
Jiin stood in complete silence, her fists clenched at the side.
I looked at her as she looked back, standing stock still.
Until finally she spoke.
'So, you're Ambrosia?' Jiin asked in a Japanese accent.
I nodded as she stepped forward into the light of the lava in me.
She had blue hair and wore a white dress and knee high boots.
'I've been waiting,' she grinned with a glint in her eyes.
'So have I,' I said back.
I got ready to shoot my arrow as I looked around and saw more people that weren't Anri, Kofo, Hikari, Crescentia or Vrosvurs.
'Who are these people?' I asked.
'My helpers,' she snarled as she lunged towards me.
I threw my bow onto the floor and stopped her before she could do any damage.
I looked around again and saw people advancing towards me. I looked at my bow and realised I couldn't get to it without letting go off Jiin.
'Somebody!' I yelled,'get me my bow!'
A person on her side kicked it out of the way before someone could get to it.
'I'm on my way!' Crescentia yelled as she hurtled past me to get me my bow.
'Keep hold of her!' I ordered.
Crescentia held onto Jiin while I got my bow loaded with an arrow.
'Umm Ambrosia? Don't look down...,' Kofo said.
My eyes darted to the side as I sensed a figure either side of me. One hand covering my mouth, the other holding a katana to my throat.
'Don't move Ambrosia,' the one holding the katana against my throat smirked.
I weighed up my options: I could sacrifice myself and move, that would mean certain death, or don't move and stay alive.
None of them appealed to me.
I opened my mouth and thought about what would happen if I bit the others hand.
I looked around again as everyone waited with baited breath to see what would happen.
'Come on Ambrosia!' Hikari urged me,'do something!'
And I did.
I dug my fangs into the hand covering my mouth and pushed the hand holding the katana against my neck away and grabbed my bow and arrow, ready to aim.
'Step near me and I shoot,' I threatened.
They all stepped back, even Jiin.
I put the bow and arrow down. They were all scared of me. This isn't what I wanted to happen!
'Wait,' I stepped forward,'the Styx and Cocytus clan had always lived in harmony, so why can't we help each other out? Just this once?'
Jiin stepped forward,'I wish we could, but alas we can't. The war is against all the clans, we've been turned against each other.'
Oh, Azurewrath, I thought, making this even more fun aren't you?
