~Ambrosia's P.O.V~
I looked around to try and find any clues as to suggest the other clans whereabouts.

All those clues led to one place.

The centre of Battery city.

We were only a few miles away from the centre and it would take less than five hours to get there if we power walked.

I bent down and put my hand in the dirt, it was rock solid. I stood back up and continued walking, only to step on a tile that had been set as a booby trap.

I looked around, expecting the classic arrows to appear but no. Instead there were loud booms coming from everywhere.

I looked around to find every building collapsing in on itself. The rubble was trapping us in, surrounding us everywhere and forever edging closer and closer to us.

'What do we do?' I whispered urgently to the others.

Crescentia suddenly started running towards a break in the rubble. We all followed her until we were well away from the rubble.

I sat down on the floor and leaned against a wall that was still intact, gulping to get air in my lungs.

'Are we all ok?' Kofo asked while we all brushed dust from the buildings off our bodies.

We nodded and looked around, wondering where to go next.

I stood up and looked around a corner to see where we were. We were a mile away from the city centre and yet we still had more booby traps, more dangers.

'We're only a mile away from the centre,' I told everyone, 'if we hurry we might get there in the next day.'

They started picking up their weapons as I stood up and dusted myself off.

'Ready?' I asked.

I started walking to the city centre with the others in tow, watching my back and checking for any other clan leaders.

I looked around to see where we were. We were just south of the city centre and a step closer.

'Oops,' (A/N and I oop-)Vrosvurs hid behind her white hair and blushed.

I looked down and my eyes widened. She had stepped on another trigger.

I looked around, expecting the exact same thing with the rubble to happen.

Nothing happened.

'Must've been a disarmed trap,' I shrugged.

Or so I thought.

I continued walking just as I heard a scream coming from behind me. I turned around and saw what screamed.

Monster like creatures were advancing towards us.

Kantanans. Poisonous creatures designed to hunt their prey down at frightening speeds.

Not even running would be fast enough.

'Uh what are we gonna do?!' Kofo exclaimed.

I pulled my wings out of the clothes and started flying.

'LEVITATE!' I called down, 'they can't fly!'

They all started lifting up into the air just before the Kantanans reached them.

I watched as the creatures continued running in a straight line.

I heard a scream, a human scream, ringing through the streets as the Kantanans ripped into an enemy.

'Come on, we better keep going,' I told everyone.

I continued flying to the centre when I noticed the others weren't following me.

'What?' I asked them as they continued staring at me.

'Those things that led us to the centre? Yeah we've passed that, actually we're going to Torture city,' Anri pointed out.

I stared at her, 'you're only now just telling me this?!'

'Hey, I only just realised,' she held her hands up, 'don't shoot the messenger.'

I went down to the ground and watched as the others followed me.

'We need to find somewhere to rest for the night,' I told them, 'then we'll carry on early tomorrow morning.'

I looked around for a place to rest for the night, somewhere where we won't be found out.

I started walking across to a dark house just a brisk walk away from where we stood.

I placed my weapons down on the floor as Hikari and Kofo rooted about in the cupboards for food to keep us going through the long journey to Torture City.

I looked out of the window at the now dark sky and instantly felt a longing for home.

No, it weren't home. Not anymore.
