I started running just as the force field continued to fall down in honeycomb shaped pieces, each piece bigger than the other.

'Hikari!' I yelled out to him.

No answer.

'Hikari?!' I yelled again.

No answer.

I started to panic. What if Azurewrath had found him and had killed him? All these bad thoughts swirled around in my head.

'Ambrosia!' I heard Hikari yell.

I let a flood of relief wash over me just before it was cut short by a scream.

'Jiin!' I yelled,'where are you?!'

The scream sounded again. I looked around and saw Jiin was underneath a piece of the force field.

I rushed over and tried to get her from under it but it was too heavy.

'Ambrosia! Leave me!' She shouted at me.

'I'm not leaving!' I told her.

She shook her head and took her last dying breath just as another piece fell on top of her, crushing every bone in her body.

The tears flowed down my cheeks at that. Even though I hadn't known her for long it had felt like I had known Jiin all my life. And now she was dead.

All thanks to me.

I felt a hand on my shoulder as Azurewrath materialised in front of me, grinning.

'What have you done?' He asked me in mock shock, wearing a huge grin on his face.

I squared up to him, no longer scared of him. Those days were over.

'I put an end to your stupid games,' I hissed,'you can make people compete all you want but it doesn't make you less of a wuss than you are now. You make people fight for your enjoyment, for the people to enjoy.'

'That's the whole point,' he still wore the huge grin on his face.

I grabbed my bow and loaded it with an arrow and aimed it at him even though I knew any attempt at killing him wouldn't work.

'Oh Ambrosia, you never learn do you?' His smile sickeningly sweet,'you can't kill me! I'm as old as time itself and yet, even after all your puny attempts to kill me, I'm still alive!'

Reality hit home. He was right, no matter how hard I tried, he couldn't die.

I pointed my bow and arrow down to the ground and looked up at him questioningly.

'What do you want from me?' I asked him.

'For you to be killed,' he replied without a moments hesitation.

I pointed my bow and arrow at him again. Even though he couldn't die it would still give me some satisfaction if I shot him.

'You never learn do you?' Azurewrath chuckled.

'You're right,' I agreed with him,'I don't learn, do I? There's one thing I have learnt though.'

I was getting braver by the second as I grabbed the collar of his bloodstained white shirt.

'What have you learnt?' He asked me, beads of sweat trickling down his face at my bravery.

'I have learnt that you are an arrogant little prick who drags people into his vortex of idiocy,' I hissed.

I held him in my icy glare as he got free of my grip.

'Really?' Azurewrath gasped in mock shock,'I hadn't noticed!'

'Woah woah woah!' Hikari butted in,'who's trying to kill who?'

I pointed to Azurewrath as Azurewrath pointed to me.

'Ok...' Hikari murmured.

I looked at him blankly. What was he trying to say?

I heard another scream, this time coming from close by.

Kofo yelled out to me,'Ambrosia!'

I ran to him just as I saw what happened. Vrosvurs was writhing in pain on the floor as a Katakana pulled chunks of her flesh straight off her body.

'I follows masters orders,' the monster hissed in a low raspy voice,'I's masters favourite.'

The sight of life slowly dripping out of Vrosvurs was enough to make me turn away, retching. I hadn't been looking out for my friends, the ones that needed me the most.

'Self disgust and selfishness are holding you awfully close, you know that?' Azurewrath asked me.

I nodded,'they always have and they always will.'

I hadn't realised I had sunk to the floor and stood up quickly.

'They were there the moment I arrived in the over world. They are my two main enemies in life and my goal is to get RID OF THEM!'

The last three words I spoke were in a shout which made everyone else turn to look at me.

'AND YOU KNOW WHAT?' I yelled again,'I WILL DEFEAT THEM.'

Azurewrath had disappeared at that point but I didn't care. As long as I had made my point, I was fine.

It felt as though a part of me had died when I had first started my story. Now I realise what I felt was what happened.

I was going to revive that part of me. I didn't have a plan but I was determined to.

No matter what happened.
