'Auntie Sarada?' I called down the long quiet hallway.

'Yes Sandā?' She called in her flowery sing song voice.

I ran down the hallway to my auntie who was in the kitchen making food.

'Weren't mother supposed to come back today?' I asked her.

She shook her head,'sorry honey, I forgot to tell you, she won't be back for a few months at least.'

My face fell. She was supposed to come back today yet that moron Azurewrath had delayed her return.

'Oh,' my voice cracked. I always hated it when mother was away without me or father. But this time they were both away, leaving me to worry about them.

Auntie Sarada held her arms out and I ran into them, breathing in her flowery scent from the soap she used.

'It's ok, sweetie, they'll be ok,' she whispered into my hair.

I nodded and wiped my eyes, I didn't know I had been crying.

'Speaking of your parents, they need backup on the front lines,' auntie Sarada said while busily cleaning away the lunchtime pots.

'Really?' I asked curiously, stealing an apple from the fruit bowl.

She nodded,'yup. They're sending people in!'

I nodded as I got ready to go out.

'Where are you going?' Auntie asked me.

'Out,' I said plainly.

I walked out of the door and into the outdoors, not knowing where I was headed.

As I walked for a few miles, the sun began to set and the trees became bare.

'Strange,' I thought out loud.

The grass was singed underneath my feet and the smell of burnt objects was hardly disguised by the smell of burning wood.

I came across a little pool of lava which was strategically placed for someone to fall into it.

I grinned. I had found what I was looking for and it would help my parents if I summoned it.

We finally reached Death Chamber City and noticing an elevator in front of us.

'The source of all our troubles,' Ito whispered, awestruck at the cut glass chandeliers.

He was right. The Katakanas here were civilised and at peace, barely taking a sideways glance at us.

'How can I help you?' A female Katakana said in a posh accent.

'We'd like to see Azurewrath,' I told her.

'13th floor,' she told me,'human teeth?'

She passed me a small bowl of white objects.

'Thanks,' I said awestruck. Was it a coincidence that they had my favourite food?

I popped one in my mouth and spat it out quickly, the taste of plaque filling my mouth.

'Somebody didn't clean their teeth...,' I said as I put the bowl back on the tray.

'Sorry, that's all we can afford right now what with the war,' the katakana apologised.

I walked past her and pressed the button to the 13th floor where Azurewrath was.

The elevator stopped after a few seconds. The doors opened and a sudden wave of water crashed into me, knocking me backwards.

The water hissed against my skin, making me scream in pain. There was nowhere to run, no room to fly up and away from the water.

'What do we do?!' I yelled before I was engulfed in the water, making me yell out even more.

I fought to get out of the elevator, the water against lava making me hurt all over. I knew I was done for.

Until Hikari managed to shut the elevator door and drain the water.

I could feel my body slowly failing me now, the water having made some of the lava turn to stone.

I sank to the floor weakly. I couldn't go on, I knew I couldn't. My body felt too heavy to even move, let alone stand up.

I felt around for the handrail in the elevator and used it to pull myself up off the floor while also panting heavily.

'You ok?' Yamauba asked.

I nodded,'perfectly fine,' I said.

I pressed the button to the 13th floor once again.

The elevator stopped a few seconds after once again and the doors opened up. In the room was holograms of people being tortured. I walked around in the room until one caught my eye.

It was Sandā, being tortured for people's viewing pleasure.

I covered my eyes just as I felt a hand rest on my shoulder.

'Ambrosia?' The familiar voice of Hikari said gently,'you know it's not real, right?'

I nodded and walked back to the elevator, not looking at the holograms.

I finally looked up and looked at the others who were staring at the holograms in the room.

'Talk about state of the art!' Ito breathed excitedly.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head,'not the time to compliment him on his machinery!'

Ito looked down and murmured an apology, his elf-like ears pointing out from behind his hair.

'Now what?' Hikari asked.

I looked at the watch on his wrist. 8:05am.

'Sure it's only been 5 minutes? Seems like 10,' I said.

'Yeah it has been 10 minutes, not five,' Kemono said while inspecting the watch on Hikari's wrist.

'Strange,' I murmured as I examined the elevator buttons, wondering which number to press.

'Press all of them!' Sakumo said excitedly.

I shook my my head,'no, we take our time.'

He nodded and shrunk back into place against the wall.

I didn't care how long it took to reach Azurewrath as long as we reached him.
