I looked around for the other Kofo, Vrosvurs, Hikari and Crescentia. The darkness of night enveloped me.
'Hikari?' I whispered urgently.
No reply.
'Ambrosia?' I heard a voice say.
'Hikari!' I whispered louder.
I pulled myself up into the tree next to him, glad to have found my lover.
'I'm sorry about earlier,' I apologised.
He nodded his acceptance of my apology and pulled me in for one of his famous hugs.
I snuggled into him just as the sun was about to rise.
'Where are the others?' I asked him just as a raven landed in front of me, holding a piece of paper.
I took the paper out of its mouth and read it aloud.
Hikari/ Ambrosia/ whoever reads this, it read.
Me, Vrosvurs and Kofo are only just surviving. We nearly got killed in the fire set by Ito and only narrowly escaped being shot by an arrow.
We are nearing Metal City and are hiding in the first building near the centre you see.
Really need your help,
Crescentia.I put the letter in my pocket as the raven flew off into the night sky.
At last I knew they were alive and well, even if they only narrowly escaped being shot. That was better than being killed.
~Crescentia's P.O.V~
I looked around in the night sky, keeping a close look out for Hikari and Ambrosia.I looked at Vrosvurs who was wrapped in Kofos arms, keeping herself warm. Kofo rested his head again hers as he snored quietly.
I looked out of the window again to try and spot any possible dangers. Nothing.
Tonight was going to be a slow night, I could already tell.
~Azurewrath's P.O.V~
I looked at all the cameras again, checking to see if at least one of them had recorded Ambrosia.Nothing.
I got my weapons ready and stomped out of the building, deciding to look for her myself.
This would be the main event, and I would win no matter what.
Wandering the streets of Battery City was hard to do at night. I grabbed a torch and switched it on, shining it in every nook and cranny looking for Ambrosia.
For all I knew, she could be well and truly dead. But that wasn't the case at all, she was hiding somewhere.
I came across a branch which looked weighed down, as if one or two people were sat on it.
I shone my torch on the branch and I grinned.
I had found Ambrosia and her lover boy.
~Ambrosias P.O.V~
I woke up to the light of a torch shining and panicked instantly, getting my weapons ready and getting ready to run.'Hikari!' I hissed urgently.
He rubbed his eyes and saw the light shining through the leaves and got ready as well. We were good as dead if the person who was holding the torch saw us.
I bounded along branch against branch, making sure not to step too hard onto one. The branches were becoming thinner and thinner as I bounded across them, making it a perilous journey.
At long last I was able to step foot on the ground without fear of being caught by the person.
I took in my surroundings, surprised to find we were in Metal City. All that was left to do was to find Crescentia, Kofo and Vrosvurs and we would be back together at long last.
I looked around and saw Kemono of the Lethe clan, Raitoningu of the Acheron clan, Jiin of the Cocytus clan and Ito of the Phlegathon clan.
This was what Azurewrath was trying to do all along. He was trying to get us to the centre of Metal City to make us fight.
'Ambrosia!' I heard a chorus of yells from behind me.
I spun around and was greeted by the faces of Crescentia, Kofo and Vrosvurs running towards me and Hikari.
'Welcome to the 10th annual Helvellen games!' A voice over the intercom called. It was followed by a chorus of cheers from a crowd only visible to the people watching.
'Games?' I mouthed at Hikari who shrugged.
Then it clicked inside my head.
We were contestants in Azurewrath's 'games' all this time and the first war was just the start.
