Minhyun's
Napatitig muna ako sa caller ID bago sagutin. I just can't help to have mixed emotions like excitement, joy and shock. Literal na nagkahalo-halo.
"Hello?" I answered trying to hide any signs of emotions I am having inside.
'Hi. Am I disturbing something? Are you in a meeting? You took too long to answer. Should I just call you later?' she asked. I chuckled inside my mind.
"No. It's okay. Medyo di ko lang agad narinig yung tunog ng phone ko." I smiled as I answered.
I waited for her to reply but it took for a quite moment.
'Pwede ka ba ngayong araw? I want to meet you kasi.' she asked. Kumabog anman nang mabilis ang puso ko. Di ko alam kung sa saya o sa kaba.
"Yeah? Of course, definitely. Bakit nga pala? Kasama mo ba si Hyunri?" napangiti ako habang nagsasalita.
'I just want to tell you something and nope, di ko isasama si Hyunri. G-gusto mo ba?' she asked. I miss my daughter pero siguro ito na yung pagkakataon para makapag-usap kami ni Pat.
"Hindi. Sige. Mag-uusap lang naman tayo so it might bore her. Maybe I would just fetch her some other day." I said.
Another short term silence envelops us.
'Hmm so see you later at our usual café I guess?'
"Yeah, to our usual café. See you later, Mommy!" nagulat din ako sa huli kong sinabi.
Binaba niya na yung phone without even saying goodbye. Nailang yun panigurado.
I look at my phone and utter words that only my heart knows and only dedicate it to her.

I enter the café and immediately look for her. Agad ko naman siyang nakita. I came from the cemetery and about that, should I tell her today?
Madali akong nagpunta sa kinaroroonan niya and greeted her.
"Sorry I'm late." I apologetically said.
"N-no. You're just on time." she replied.
I looked at her observing her. She look so tense and serious. I'm about to ask nang naunahan niya ako.
"Do you want to order something? Waiter!" she asked as she called the waiter
"I'll have an iced americano." baling ko sa waiter and she also said hers. Agad namang dumating yun since wala namang masyadong tao kaya ideal 'to para makapag-usap talaga kami.
"So what is it you're going to tell me?" panimula ko as I watched her took a sip on her drink and gulped hard.
"Ayoko nang magpaligoy-ligoy, Hwang." bahagya naman akong nagulat sa pagseseryoso niya.
Instead of answering, I just looked at her. Tinitingnan kung anong pinapakitang emosyon ng mukha niya pero wala. Wala akong makita.
"Let's be civil, Hwang." she look directly to my eyes.
"What do you mean? Aren't we civil?" confused kong tanong. Parang nanunuyo ang lalamunan ko.
"Yeah. But this time, more civil." she said emphasizing every word she's saying.
Napakunot ang noo ko. Bago pa man ako magsalita, nauna na naman siya. Mukhang hindi ko magugustuhan ang pag-uusap na'to.
