They meet at the front of the hospital and walk in together. The head to the third floor. Beth heads towards Sarah's room leaving the rest of the group to in the waiting room. She wants to see if she is up for visitors. She is shocked to find the room empty.. She runs to the nurse's station to find out where she is.
"She is in surgery."
"Surgery! What do you mean surgery? Where is she? What floor? When is she coming back?"
"Deep breath sweetie. Surgery is on the second floor.. She won't be back up here until tomorrow. I can't give you any more information but, her father is in the surgical waiting room. He can tell you what is going on with his daughter, if he has a mind to."
She heads backndown to where her friends wait. She tells them the latest and they all head down one floor to find Mr Rose. When they find him, they find a broken man. With a voice hoarse from crying, he tells us what had happened.
"They came to take Sarah to get the MRI a few minutes after nine. I waited in her room for her. She was back there for close to an hour. When she returned, we both waited for Eric to come in, to give us the results. When he walked in, I could tell it was bad. You know what I mean Beth?"
"Yes sir."
"So, he sat down to tell us that it was worse than we thought. It is bigger, more entrenched. It has to be taken out. No time to waste. The only decision left is what type of surgery. My fearless daughter has already decided. She wants to make sure none of it remains. She says to do a mastectomy. No questions. No discussion." He finishes with a sob.
"How long has she been back there." Beth gasps.
"She went back at two so three hours now. She should be out soon."
"Okay, what do need must right now." Asks Julia. "Can we get you some food, coffee, or something?"
"No thanks sweetie. Y'all are so sweet to be here. My daughter has some great friends."
"Thanks sir. Do you mind if we prayed for you and Sarah" asks Abe.
He nods his head on agreement. So, they gather around him and pray, petitioning the Father for His Will and peace, for His healing and protection. When they finish, they join Mr Rose in waiting.
