I walk to the library of the school. I know it's weird that I walk around the school on my first day here but I can't help myself. I hear a noise and hide behind a shelf. I notice hair and a blue jacket.
"Pshhh Ethan" I whisper
He turns around and looks at me. I smile at him and wave. He nods in return.
"I'm just looking for books, and you?" I asked him
"Just wandering" he says
"Have you seen any interesting books?" I said
"Nope" he says
"It's okay" I said because he looked down for a while
I guess Ethan isn't the type to open up a lot, so I made myself a promise. I'll try and cheer Ethan up every time I'm with him, so I looked at Ethan and showed him a funny picture in a book. I look up at him and see him surprised.
"What's wrong? Is it not funny?" I asked
All he does is look away and I frown. I think he saw me frown because he put his hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sorry" he says while looking into my eyes
I stand there for a while and I start blushing, so I pull him away and keep on looking for a book.
