I came upstairs with tears falling down my face. I tried my best not to make much noise incase I woke anyone up. I went straight to my bedroom and closed the door.

I laid on my bed for a while in silence, the only sound being my sniffles. There was a knock at my door. I wiped the tears from my eyes and went to answer it. I opened it so I could peer my head around the corner to see who it was. It was Wyatt.

"Are you okay?" he asked looking at the floor.

"Not really. I'll live I suppose. Bones mend in time," I replied.

"That's not what I meant," he said.

I didn't speak.

I'm sorry about you and Chris...

I heard his thought.

I sniffed and wiped my nose.

It's okay, it wasn't you're fault...

I thought back.

Do you need anything?....

He asked.

I just need to be alone for now....

I sent the thought to him as nicely as I could.

He nodded sadly but he tried not to show it.

Well I'm here for you. Always....

He thought.

I know you are.....

It had been a month since the night the Succubus attacked and I broke up with Chris. Since then, hardly any demons have tried to attack us personally. Of course we still vanquished the odd demon who was causing riots but it seemed fairly calm now.

I had gotten myself a waitressing job in a cafe in town to earn myself my own money and to give to Piper and Leo rent money. They insisted that they didn't need it and that they had plenty of income from the club and Piper's restaurant but I still gave them a contribution.

Henry seemed to be doing good too. He was drawing and sending his art to museums and handing out flyers. He wasn't hurting himself anymore and he had gotten himself a girlfriend.

Her name was Vanessa and she was in his art class. The two were practically inseparable.

I on the other hand was still single. Chris and I had been apart since the night Kirsten attacked us. I didn't really talk to him unless I had to. He gave me a good morning here and there and talked to me briefly whilst making potions for demons. That was the extent of our relationship since that night.

Of course I was still madly in love with him but I couldn't be with him until he learned to deal with my relationship with Wyatt. I hadn't had any memory step in's since that night but the odd one did pop up before I was about to wake up or go to sleep. I didn't tell anyone about them because I was sure that witches have visions from time to time as a sign of their inner feelings.

Unfortunately it was my 20th birthday on Saturday. This past 5 months of my life had flown by. It was now October and my 20th birthday was on Saturday.

I guess time flies when you're killing demons, trying not to get killed by evil reincarnations and running from you're eternal destiny....

I skipped down the stairs already late for my first shift. I had already been to the hospital for them to take the cast off of my wrist, only to have a tight bandage put on it instead.

The doctor said it was almost healed. Wyatt had insisted on healing it the day after I had my cast on. I told him that it was unnecessary and that the doctor would be astonished at my next appointment if he didn't see a broken wrist.

Melinda was getting her things together for school, so she would be ready when Pandora came to pick her up.

When I was at the bottom of the stairs I tightened my hair up in its ponytail. I dusted down my waitress uniform; my white shirt perfectly ironed with the red words 'Joey's' above the chest pocket, my black trousers straight and cut and my dishcloth fastened in them.

Wyatt and Chris came out of the kitchen, heading towards the front door. Wyatt threw me an apple that he gave me everyday before work.

"I'll see you later," he waved.

"Have a nice day," Chris said with uncertainty.

There was an awkward tension between us so that was why he was so reluctant to talk to me.

"Yeah," I smiled," You too."
