Good looking guy was half way through his number four. He wasn't lying when he said he could eat a horse.

"Enjoy Paul," I said as I handed Paul his order sheet.

Paul smiled at me and his big rosy cheeks bunched up to his face. I'd only been working here for about a month but it didn't take a genius to know who Paul is.

He comes in every morning and orders eggs, bacon, sausage and cheese and then a side of our crispy waffles with syrup. It wasn't a secret that he was a little overweight but he was the nicest person that I had met in some time.

He always said hello to us all when he came in and his mouth was always curved up in a cheesy smile. His little pig-like nose twitched when he smelled Gino cooking up his bacon and eggs. He sat in the same spot at the counter and happily enjoyed his meal in peace.

I put his money in the till and closed it.

"Hey sweetheart, can I get a rack of pancakes with syrup and a side of you're number?" A voice said.

I looked up in disgust. It was a tall, broad man with stubble lining his chin. He had sandy colour hair that was cut short on his head. He looked like a hiker from his body warmer and boots.

"You can have the pancakes and syrup. As for the number, try the yellow pages and look under the section of 'Never Gonna Happen'" I answered him.

"Looks like I'm having a little spice with my sugar today," he grinned.

Ugh gross......

"Hey, leave her alone!" Paul shouted across the counter.

"Stay out of it Fatman, go back to devouring you're waffles," the guy snapped.

"Hey don't you dare talk to him like that!" I raised my voice at him.

What an ass...

I hadn't realised that the good looking guy had gotten up from his seat and had walked over to us.

"I think it's time you leave," he said.

"Who gonna make me?" The man spat back.

Good looking guy then grabbed the man by his shirt and started to drag him out of the cafe. Paul helped him but all he did was throw blueberries at the man. When good looking guy finally got out the door, he threw the man on the pavement.

People in the cafe started to cheer and clap. Paul and good looking guy came back Into the cafe with showers of applause.

"Paul thank you for saying something. That was very courageous," I thanked him.

"It's okay Anna," Paul said back.

"Anna? That's you're name?" Good looking guy asked.

He came back to the counter and sat down. I stood in front of him with my cloth in hand.

"Yep. For nineteen years now," I laughed.

Good looking guy laughed too.

"I'm Jamie," he replied.

He held out his hand. I shook politely.

"Nice to meet you Jamie,"

I had finished my shifts and was waiting outside for Ed to pick me up. He enforced that he picks me up from work every day. I didn't stop him because nothing would've.

Ed pulled up in his car.

"One waitress to go," he smiled.

"You're so weird," I laughed.

I jumped in the car and then we drove off down the road.
