ANNA'S POV
"If you're 'the Demon of Fear' why are you in the ghostly plane?" I asked him, mimicking the way he introduced himself.
"Been vanquished darling, that usually kills ya. So where else would a spirit go other than the ghostly plane?" He answered.
"I mean why haven't you moved on to the afterlife or whatever?" I asked.
"Let's just say I'm not really permitted to the afterlife. I am certainly not going to Purgatory again. So I decided to stay here. Besides I've tried to move on and I can't. Looks like fear is still lingering about, in this life and the next," he answered.
Whoever he was he was certainly creepy. I wouldn't want this ghost haunting my house.
"As I was saying, those knives are useless," Barbas told me.
"Why's that?" I asked with forced sarcastic smile.
"You can't kill a bear with stick now can ya?" He smiled.
"Who says I'm going to use these on a bear? If you look closely, it's pointed at you," I grinned.
"It's a metaphor sweetheart. You don't kill demons with knives or guns or missals," Barbas said.
"Then what can I kill this demon with?" I asked him, still holding the knife.
"Magic," he answered.
I laughed.
"If you haven't figured out yet, magic doesn't work here," I told him.
"Who says your using magic in this plane? If you think about it, there are other planes apart from this one," he mocked me.
I slowly lowered the knife and placed it on the counter. Barbas seemed to know something and it would be best to have to him tell me than kill him. It might get me home.
"How am I suppose to get to another plane? And which plane? I don't know which planes permit magic and which ones don't," I asked him.
Barbas let out a huff.
"You don't get to the other plane, you access it,"he said making motions with his hands.
"And how am I supposed to access this other plane?" I asked getting impatient.
Barbas just lifted his shoulders innocently.
"Listen,"I began, "if you know how to get out of this place and to somewhere where magic is used then you need to tell me right now. I need to get back home."
"To Wyatt? Or to Chris?" Barbas raised an eyebrow.
"Both,"

CHRIS' POV
I awoke on my knees, with my hands tied behind my back, with a piece of cloth strapped around my head and in my mouth. I was in front of an altar with candles and herbs on it.
I looked to my right and a woman was kneeling next to me, with a black veil covering her face. I jumped back to scramble away. However an arm grabbed me and held me back by the neck. I looked up and it was the darklighter that shot me.
It then occurred to me that the pain from the darklighter poison was no longer searing through my body. I felt normal. As if I hadn't even been shot at all.
I looked around for an escape route but all I saw were black drapes and long tunnels. Any of them could lead to a way out but could also lead to somewhere worse. I decided to orb out.
I went to orb out of wherever I was when I found that I couldn't. I couldn't orb.
"There's no point in trying to orb Chris. We've blocked your orbing powers," a voice said.
I looked in front of me. Coming up from behind the altar was a woman. She had dark hair, pale skin and dark eyes. She wore a long, flimsy black dress with extended sleeves.
A dark priestess...
The darklighter yanked the cloth out of my mouth.
"What do you want with me?" I asked the priestess, taking deep breaths.
"It's not what I want with you, it's what they want with you," she answered.
I turned around and saw a large crowd of people standing behind us.
What the hell is going on?...
Looking around, at the altar, at the people I suddenly realised what was happening.
I was being a part of a binding ritual....
