Ed came bursting through the door with a huge box with a giant bow on top.

"Happy Birthday!!!" He shouted as he entered the house.

I turned around and laughed. I ran towards him as he put the box down. I jumped into his arms and he lifted me up and spun me around.

"Happy Birthday Kid," he laughed.

"What the hell have you gotten me?" I asked looking at the box.

Ed just winked at me. I pulled the bow and it came undone. It fell on the floor. Then the walls of the box collapsed on the floor. A sleek, shiny black TV was sitting in the middle with another red bow on top.

"You got me a fricking TV?!" I shouted in utter awe.

"Yeah it's the one that you said you wanted ages ago," Ed smiled.

"Jesus Ed," I laughed.

I jumped into his arms again.

"Thanks," I said quietly in his ear.

"Hey Anna!" A voice called.

I turned around and Melinda, Payton, Penny and Pearl were walking towards me. Patty and Pandora followed behind them.

"We're going shopping in the mall for our costumes for you're party in P3 tonight. You need to get ready so we can go," Payton explained.

The looks on all of their faces told me that I wasn't going to get out of this one.

"Okay I will go and get changed then," I answered.

I let go of Ed and then walked past everyone so I could go upstairs and get dressed.

I opened my door and smiled. On my bed lay a grey coloured box with white ribbon wrapped around it. In the ribbon was a note. I picked up the piece of paper. I opened up the card.

Wear this tonight and meet me in the porch,
Wyatt

I put down the note grinning to myself. I pulled off the ribbon and lifted up the box lid. My eyes popped out of my head. Inside lay a royal blue, silk dress with no straps and little black studs lined the top.

Oh my god.....

I raised my hands to my mouth, to conceal the astonished giggles that were escaping from my mouth.

I had gotten changed into a black long sleeve top, grey jeans and my black boots. I wore one of my long necklaces that lined the v neck shape of my top. I jogged down the stairs to find everyone waiting for me.

Melinda, Payton and Pearl were smiling widely like a Cheshire Cat, while Patty and Penny stood there on their phones and Pandora talked to Ed.

"Ready?" Melinda giggled.

"Uh yeah," I answered with a smile.

That was our cue to head to the car and one by one we filed out of the manor giggling and smiling.

When we got to the mall Melinda and Payton lead us all to the costume store labelled "Theatrical", which sold practically any costume you could think of.

There was an old feel to the store even though it was bright and clean and modern. It looked like every other clothing store in the mall, however the racks were not filled with mini skirts and tank tops. They were filled with clown, fairy, vampire, werewolf even superhero costumes.

Once everybody had came through the door, we all fanned out. Melinda, Payton and Pearl rushed over to the teenage section to search for costumes, Patty and Penny reluctantly combed through the racks while Pandora stuck with me.

I was in the middle of searching when Pandora yanked a costume from the rack. She held it in front of her, to show me what she would like in it and winked.

"What do you think?" She grinned.

It was a 100% pure leather policewoman costume complete with the hand cuffs, whip and baton.

"Yeah, you wear that you're mother will drag you to the police station herself," I laughed.

"It would certainly get me some eye candy," she answered putting it back in the rack.

"Excuse me ladies," a voice said.

Pandora and I turned around. Standing behind us was a tall and slender man, with his glasses on the bridge of his nose, a tape measure wrapped around his neck and his hands open in such a feminine gesture.

"Yes," Pandora answered.

"Well if you both are looking for costumes I will be more than happy to help assist you young girls," he smiled.

"Uh sure okay. We're also with those other girls too," I told him pointing to Melinda and her cousins.

"Fabulous," he giggled.

I stood on a podium in front of an arch of mirrors surrounding me, while everyone else was trying on costumes in the changing booths around the corner.

The cream fluffy carpet and red drapes were perfectly theatrical and I felt as if I were having a costume change behind a theatre set.

"Okay I'm here!" The same man from before shouted as he came in.

He came to my side and looked at me up and down.

"So what costume are you looking for dear?" He asked me.

"I don't know," I quietly told him.

He raised his hand to his chin and placed two fingers on his mouth.

"Well the concept is quite simple darling, do you want to look like a slut or not?" His feminine voice exhaled.

"Uh not," I loudly answered him.

He raised his hands up to my face and cupped my cheeks.

"You have a very medieval look about you dear, have you thought about going to your party as someone from the Middle Ages?" He asked me.

God, why did I decide to come today....

With all the fuss about what costume to wear was making me regret putting a sheet over myself and going as a ghost....
