Someone's Birthday Poem

"Happy Birthday,"

Isn't all I have to say,

You're 16,

"Hip-Hip Hooray,"

Thank you for being by my side,

Especially the times when I cried,

You helped me a lot,

With decisions I had to decide,

I'm very blessed,

With you being the best,

I probably get on your nerves,

But at least I'm not obsessed,

I worry and care about you,

But you probably already knew,

You're my best friend,

And I hope I'm yours too,

You inspired me,

To become the best person I can be,

I'm myself,

Being young, wild and free,

We're closer than ever,

I hope we don't sever,

Let us forget the past,

And worry about the present whatsoever,

You make me smile,

It's as long as a mile,

Even if it's about something stupid,

Just know it'll be there for a while,

I miss you so much,

That it's hard for me to explain such,

I want to see you more,

'Cause you give me a warm touch,

My feelings aren't exactly clear,

They haven't disappeared,

I can't control them,

But they just randomly appeared,

Tears running down my face,

Having no one to embrace,

This poem is special,

It can never be replaced,

We're growing up too fast,

Let's make our teenage years last,

'Cause once they're gone,

They won't recast,

At the end of the day,

On this fine Tuesday,

I have to restate,

"Happy Birthday!"
