Grip #2

When we first met,

The exact words you said were "I'll never leave,"

A strong, muscular hand slipped into mine,

Which made us inseparable,

Our hugs developed into kisses,

And the compliments turned into dinner dates,

But our holding hands never changed,

Not even the joy that washes over me,

I didn't expect us to end though,

We started to argue,

Which led to not seeing each other,

But I saw you walking in town with another girl,

The memories we created,

Were a waste of your time,

Everything I had in my life,

I got rid of just to be with you,

"I'll never leave" he said,

His muscular hand locked in mine,

Our holding of hands separated,

As you lost our grip.
