IronMan isn't dead- A/N

Peter sat down at the conference table on the opposite side of the Avengers and Nick Fury. Nobody spoke as Peter tapped a steady rhythm on the table.

"So, Spider-Man," Captain America began.

"You can call me Peter, Mr. Rogers," Pete interrupted politely and the Captain raised his eyebrows.

"Then you can call me Steve."

"Sure, Mr. Rogers," Pete wasn't going to do that. Rogers dismissed the rejection of his request and rested his elbows on the table.

"Do you know why you're here?" Fury cut in, done with them avoiding the subject.

"Um," Peter thought. "Are you going to ship me away to a different country? I can't leave, I have school." Fury's expression didn't change from the usual unamused glare. Peter shrunk in on himself.

"No, we are here to recruit you," Fury crossed his arms.

"And all the Avengers had to be here for that?" Peter ran his eyes over all of them. Tony Stark seemed to be hiding a smile as he drank what must've been his second coffee since Peter entered.

"It's team bonding."

"No offense, Mr. Director Fury, but this isn't like the team bonding we do at school. Speaking of that, I still have school." Peter fidgeted in his seat under the stares.

"School? God, I remember those days, I had no friends. Do you have friends?" Tony stood up from his seat and rounded the table to sit by Peter.

"Yeah-"

"Ned and Michelle, right?"

"That's a litter stalker-y. Um, stranger danger." Peter sank down in his seat.

"Ever seen a real professional lab?" Tony inquired the kid. Peter was prepared for the squirrel like tendencies of the billionaire.

"At a field trip, yeah. It didn't go very well."

"Want to see my lab?" Peter's eyes widened at the question. See Tony Stark's lab? Heck yeah!

"Definitely," Peter smiled widely, not being able to hide the excitement of seeing his idol's lab.

"Meeting adjourned," Tony stood up and motioned the kid to follow. "Bruce, you coming." The said man looked between Fury and Tony before following the latter out of the room.

"That didn't go as planned," Clint shrugged to himself as Fury sat brooding. Natasha left the room followed by Clint and Cap. Fury sat frowning at the table and Thor clapped the director on the back.

"It really could've gone much worse," Thor then left the room leaving the Director of SHIELD to think about another plan that Tony wouldn't ruin.
