"Ned, wanna hangout at the tower?" Peter asked as they walked out of the school. Ned's eyes widened and he began nodding.

"Let me ask my mom but if she doesn't say yes I'm going anyways," Ned laughed, almost shaking with excitement. Peter let out a small chuckle as he passed a new kid.

The new kid was actually pretty cute. He wore kind of preppy clothes but in a relaxed sort of way. He had fluffy brown hair and beautiful eyes.

"That's Quentin Beck," Ned said after a moment of Peter staring. "I wouldn't get mixed up with him, he's a bit shady. And secretive."

"How do you know?" They began walking again and Ned shrugged.

"I eavesdrop on the gossipers in PE," Ned said. Peter accepted the response and they both jumped into the back of Happy's car.

"Hey, Peter... and Ted," Happy greeted and Ned ignored the fact that he said the wrong name.

"Hey Hap, and his name is Ned," Peter corrected and Happy nodded then began driving. Ned began rambling on about the tech that must be in the tower and Peter sighed at the thought of the lab. He was the only one who ever went in the lab.

"Let's not go to the lab, though," Ned said, bring Peter out of his stupor.

"Oh?"

"Yeah, I feel like I don't have the permission from the great man himself to accidentally destroy the lab," Ned joked and Peter nodded, grateful for his best friend.

Ned ended up staying at the tower and they went to school the next day. It ended up being fine, Ned knew immediately what places to avoid just based off Peter's demeanor.

Ned went off his own way as the bell rang and Peter headed to his first class with his head down. He bumped into someone and was thrown into a locker. He couldn't use his spidery-senses in hallways with this many people so he didn't sense the person coming.

"Oh, crap, dude," A partially deeper voice sounded actually regretful. It was Quentin Beck. "I'm sorry, I wasn't looking-"

"No, it's fine, I'm fine," Peter fixed his clothes and held out a hand. "I'm Peter Parker."

"Oh, yeah, I heard some kid talking about you. He seemed like a real prick though. I'm Quentin Beck." They shook hands and Peter gave him a small smile. He seemed nice but Pete learned that many people aren't what they seem and walked past quickly.

Quentin seemed so cool but Peter felt that something was off about him. Granted, Peter had that feeling about everybody. He shook his head as he went to his first period class. No matter how cool or cute the guy seemed, Peter was learning that they need to totally gain his respect before giving his trust.

Hello lovelies. Summer is almost over and I feel like a failure. I've done nothing other that this book. I mean, I did go on vacation but I got injured so I couldn't do anything. Then I had camp for a bit. But I still feel like a failure. I can't drive so I can't do much. Thank you guys for reading and remember to comment and vote!
