Peter let his hand fall down to his lap after the teacher once again ignored the fact that he had the answer to the question. He didn't have to answer but it was embarrassing to be ignored so obviously.

Suddenly the phone rang and everybody looked towards the teachers desk. Ms. Carlson sighed and answered it.

"Can I help you?" She asked and then went silent and listened. "Who's here for him- Fury?" She made eye contact with a now stressed Peter.

"I can go now, it's fine," Peter said and stood up. Ms. Carlson cut her eyes to him and motioned for him to sit back down. Peter sighed and plopped back into his chair.

"He's not an emergency contact or listed as a relative. That's not going to- what? What do you mean?" She asked and turned her back on the class.

Suddenly the door slammed open and Fury stood there.

"Sorry for intruding," Fury said and flashed a badge. "This is an important SHIELD problem and we require all our agents on duty. Peter, c'mon." Pete tensed before grabbing his stuff once again. He lowered his head and began walking out.

"He's a SHIELD agent?"

"Makes sense why he's randomly missing sometimes."

"How'd he get in? He doesn't have any hidden talents, does he?"

"Maybe he paid his way into it?"

"No, he's poor, remember?"

Peter slowly blinked as he finally reached Fury.

"Let's go," Peter brushed past him and he kept walking. The door closed and Fury's footsteps echoed behind him.

"Peter-"

"I told you not to come to school, but it's fine. It's already happened."

"Kids suck. That's why I never had any."

"Oh, I just thought you were incapable of love." Peter smiled to himself as Fury scoffed.

"You've been hanging around Tony too much," Fury put a hand on Peter's shoulder as they walked out of the building.

"I'm definitely switching to online school after this," Peter sighed and Fury laughed.

"We can help pay for that if you need, it's technically my fault." Fury let the corner of his mouth go up a bit. Peter smiled and jumped into the back of the SUV that was waiting for them.

"No, I might just graduate early. I have enough credits."

"Oh yeah, I forgot you're a child genius." Fury rolled his eyes at the young agent and they laughed.
