He looks hesistant while looking at me.
I'm pretty sure he's shocked by the fact that I am asking him these questions. My inquisitive nature can sometimes be blunt and that's one thing I hate about me. I'm not even sure if it's fine by him to tell me.
"Wait, if you feel uncomfortable doing this, just know that you don't have to force yourself, okay?" I reminded him.
"No. It's okay." He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck and looked up at me.
"Are you positive? The last thing I would want is to force you." I asked to which he nodded.
"Just know that I am about to trust you with everything that I have now. All I have is the story of my life. Please don't make me regret it." He whispered looking so scared that I felt like I am given a very heavy responsibility.
"I won't break your trust. I'll keep it between us. I promise." I smiled at him and saw him swallow.
"May I sit with you?" He asked looking at me straight in the eyes. Looking so mesmerized and lost in his orbs, I nodded. He slowly sat beside me making goosebumps arise on my whole body. Damn, he's cold.
"I'm.. I'm Kim Taehyung. Born on Daegu, South Korea and I used to live with my mom and dad. My family owns a huge company. And my dad has been running it since I was born so you could say he knows how to make things work properly."
"I grew up okay, I guess. I was homeschooled because leaving the house for school isn't safe because of my dad's business. A lot of threats come my way as the heir so I need to be very watchful. I tried going to school though. You know, rowdy teenage boys, strict principals, and lazy teachers. It was an actual school but I have around 6 bodyguards and my schoolmates were scared so it didn't work for me." He paused. I just stared at him and took him in. I didn't say a word and let him speak.
"I had a close bond with my family since I grew up with only them around me except for the maids and securities. We'd go on holidays, celebrate birthdays and stuffs. I actually appreciate the fact that they are trying to make me feel normal even though I live differently than other kids."
"When I was 15, I started training on how to run our business and the whatnots."
"That young?" He nodded. "How could you do that?"
"I have to even if I can't. I am the heir of the company and I'll be holding seriously huge stocks when I reached 18. But unfortunately, I didn't." He took a pause and I felt the atmosphere growing heavier by the second. "You ready for the sad part?"
"I am." I look his way and rested my chin on my folded hands. I feel severely doubtful about this. I should've thought about this before asking him. This is a hard part of his life that no one would want to go back to. But the stupid me just asked him to do so. To think that I just knew him. God, I'm so selfish.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" He said eyeing my face. I rubbed my palms into my face and bit my lip.
"I feel like I am forcing you to do this, you know? I mean, it's hard for you to go back to what happened to your life and I am literally asking you to do so. I just feel so dumb to ask that of you and--"
"Hey, hey.. Slow down, tiger." He smiled at me suddenly making my heart leap. "I trust you, okay? I'm not forced to do this." I nodded and relaxed myself urging him to continue.
"November 1st, I was 16 at that time. Everyone in the house went to bed since it's almost midnight except me. I was trying to review for an exam my online teacher is going to give me. Then.. Then I heard a clash near my room. I got up to check it out and saw two men walking towards my parents' room." He sniffled and closed his eyes.
