"It's my fault, isn't it, Yeontan?" My dog nuzzled his nose onto my palm as I held him close. "I should have thought about how he would react or feel before I argued with him."

"Why am I so stupid!? God, I should really apologize to him. I shouldn't have said those things. He must really hate me now. He wouldn't want to be my friend anymore." I mumbled to the now sleeping dog at my lap. I rolled my eyes at him. "Wow, Yeontan. Thank you so much. That's a huge help."

It has been 2 days since that argument with Taehyung and it also been 2 days since I began sulking and regretting what I've done. I wasn't able to go to him these past days because my deadlines are biting me in the ass at the moment. And of course, I just got so lucky that a painting exhibit I am currently joining will be starting in a few weeks and all I have is 2 finished paintings, 5 more empty canvas, and an uninspired brain.

Geez, life must've really hate me.

My phone vibrated besides me all of a sudden, waking my dog up.

"Hey Em!" I tried cheering up my voice as I picked up the phone.

"Hey girl! Are you up to something right now?" Her giddy voice echoed through the phone. She's always this happy.

"No. None at all. I just finished my thesis and projects so I'm taking a whole day break before I start working. What do you have in store?"

"Jimin and I planned on going downtown for a walk. We want to invite you because he told me about the stress you're curently dwelling at the moment due to your deadlines. And don't forget the ex who's been bothering you." I smiled at their thoughtfulness and fell into a deeo thought at what she mentioned.

Two days ago, my ex, Kai, began texting me again and trying to get back with me. But seriously, I'm done with him. We broke up 3 months ago because he cheated behind my back for God knows how long. And besides, I have tons of things on my hands now. I can't handle another problem.

"Thank you so much, you guys. I'm coming, okay? Pick me up at 20." I said as I ran up the stairs to get dressed. Maybe I needed this to somehow get rid of my problems with Taehyung and my work.

20 minutes later, I heard the doorbell echo along my small flat. I rushed towards it and opened the door to reveal a giddy Emerie.

"Hi, Em!"

"Y/N! Let's go, Jimin's downstairs." We shared a hug before galloping down the stairs to see Jimin leaning on his car and openly checking out a passing girl's ass.

"Geez, Jimin. Stop that." I rolled my eyes at him but hugged him anyway.

"Cranky, I see. Too much stress?" He asked at he opens the door of his convertible car for me and Emerie. I ran my hand through my hair to stop it from getting into my face.

"Hell yeah. It's kinda hard to juggle everything, y'know?" I sighed and rested my head at the backrest.

"We're here for you, Y/N. Just call for us and we'll be helping with whatever. Even hiding a dead body." Emerie clasped my hands in hers and I've never been thankful for having friends like them. You see, being all alone, as sad as it may sounds, teaches you a lot of things.
