"Catch me," Jewel yells, running toward Andrew.

He didn't have a chance to react as her body collides with his. Quickly he wraps his arms around her petite body and laughs. She really is excited. Lightly he places her on the ground -she had wrapped her legs around his waist- and smiles down at her- and smiles down at her. She's a little shorter than he thought she would be.

"Wow you're tall," she gapes at him then pokes his bicep, "and muscular."

"You short and fit, moving on," he chuckles.

"I'm not short, I am 5'5 thank you very much."

"And I'm 6'2. My standards say you're short."

She crosses her arms and looks him up and down. To him it probably looks like an act of defiance. To her she was checking him out without any shame.

Andrew cocks his head to the side and stares at her. He opens his mouth to say something but she beats him to it.

"You know Drew, instead of going to the city, we could just stay here at the park," she smiles at him.

Jewel knew what she was doing. She was flirting with him, but still trying to keep it subtle.

"Are you sure," he gives her a confused look and she nods.

"The city's too crowded anyway. Good one on one time is all I need for today."

They begin to walk down the small pathway toward the playground. A small group of children run around them, causing Andrew to bump into Jewel. She stumbles a little but catches herself by grabbing his hand.

"That was close," she laughs.

"I honestly thought you were going into the pond," he chuckles.

"Well it's a good thing I caught you then isn't it?"

They have begun walking again, not realizing their hands are still intertwined. They talk about their personal lives and Jewel is surprised. Of course their lives are going to be different from each others but not that different. While Jewel is an extrovert, Andrew is an introvert. She likes to go out with friends, while he prefers to be inside with his family. He prefers to cook for himself but she likes it when other people cook for her. Jewel stops walking right in the middle of the path.

"We don't have a lot in common but we have a lot in common. Do you know what I mean,"  she implores.

"Yea, I do. Like we have two different styles of living but we still have the same interests," he replies.

"Exactly, like our mutal dislike for Taylor Swift. I don't like when my food touches but you just go at it with out a second thought."

"It's all going to the same place."

She's quite a character, but he likes it. His heart was beating out of his chest, faster than it normally would be. Although he wasn't very good with talking to people it just felt natural with her. Andrew's smile grows as he keeps that thought in his head.

Jewel looks at the boy beside her and smiles when he looks at her. In only a month he has made her happier than anyone else did in a year. She felt something but wasn't sure what it was.

"Drew, come push me on the swing," she squeaks, pulling him to the swing set.

"Jewel," he has no choice but to follow her as she drags him behind her.

For someone as small as she is, she's strong as hell. He lets himself get pulled over to the swing set and she releases his hand. Jewel smiles at Andrew and pokes his bicep. His muscles are prominent through the shirt he's wearing and he isn't even flexing them.
