Jewel: Yes Andrew.
Andrew: Are you busy?
Jewel: No I just got home from work.
Andrew: How was it?
Jewel: It was pretty good, a little tiring, but good.
Andrew: That's good, what do you do?
Jewel: I read and edit manuscripts.
Andrew:You're a publisher, is it hard work?
Jewel: It's not very hard work. I think the hardest part is having to toss a manuscript. To me it seems like you're punching someone in the face and telling them they're worthless. Then there are those stories that are so riveting that you just can't put them down
Andrew: Do you do any writing?
Jewel: I'm not much of a writer. The last story I tried to write I never got past the second chapter
Andrew: How do you do it?
Jewel: Write a book, I couldn't tell you more than the next person could but I know it's a long and difficult process.
Andrew: Do you ever get tired of reading manuscripts all day?
Jewel: You would think so but when reading is something you're passionate about you can never get tired of it.
Andrew: Is this what you wanted to do as a kid?
Jewel: Considering I just turned nineteen a few months back yea I guess you could say that. This is an internship for now, they say when I turn twenty-one they'll hire me for real.
Andrew: So are you in college then?
Jewel: Yea I am, what about you how old are you?
Andrew: I'll be nineteen in a few days and before you ask, I'm taking a gap year so no I'm not in school.
Jewel: I wanted to take a gap year but then I decided why not get a good two years in and then take a gap year.
Andrew: I'm not exactly to good in social settings so I think a gap year is good for me.
Jewel: I was never very comfortable with being around a lot of people either so I get what you mean. Like sometimes you just have to get away.
Andrew: Is it bad that I feel like that everyday?
Jewel: Not at all. Alright it's late and I need sleep so, talk to you later I guess.
Andrew: Alright, goodnight Jewel.
Jewel: Goodnight Andrew.
