"Tell me why the fuck are we here once more Lee Chaeyeon."
Chaewon glares at the latter, fanning herself with her hands. Chaeyeon practically drags Yena and Chaewon to the indoor court to support Eunbi and Yujin during practice. What is this nonsense? They never have visited Eunbi at the court since the new semester because they are all busy doing their own thing.
Honestly it's probably an excuse Chaeyeon made so she can oggle Eunbi during practice while wearing those typical basketball jerseys. Chaewon sees right through Chaeyeon but her didn't want to pry since she doesn't want to cause commotions.
Chaewon wants to get out of this nasty stinky place full of jocks, she grabs Yena and drags her outside.
"Finally some fresh air, you always know what i needed at the right moment." Yena moves closer to Chaewon as pouting her lips like a duck while making a kissy face at Chaewon. Having none of it, Chaewon tries to shove Yena away, far away as possible.
"You guys know you are blocking enterence right?" A tall bean bole suddenly grabs the attention of the two making them stop. Of course Yuri, Minjoo and Wonyoung are here to support Yujin.
Wonyoung quickly leave them and go inside since she told Yujin she would support her during her practice session. It's just the for of them left. None of them are typically those sports fan, they decide to just hang around the school.
"So Ares, how's math? Have you perfectly understand the topic well?" Minjoo winks as she tries to hit a conversation with the strawberry girl.
"First of all, don't ever wink at me again. Second of all, cut the Ares shit. Finally, the math is going well thank you." Chaewon looks at Minjoo but apparently it is a mistake to do so. Minjoo's eyes are boaring, staring into her soul, she doesn't like this, maybe.
Chaewon regrets that she acknowledges that Minjoo is as beautiful as Aphrodite, or maybe Minjoo can just dethrone the God herself. Everything about Minjoo is alluring, the way Chaewon feels her is being sucked into a blackhole everytime Minjoo breathes. Probably as a student that is interested in art, she is drawn to everything that's exquisite. Kim Minjoo for example.
While Chaewon and Minjoo enjoying their conversation, Yuri notice that something is odd about Yena today as she keeps looking at Chaewon back and forth.
"If you have something to say to Chaewon, do it." Yuri rolls her eyes as Yena rapidly shakes her head. Yena tries to find explainable excuses, saying that she's amazed Chaewon is actually socializing.
Yena and Yuri decide to invite Minjoo and Chaewon to the mall to waste some time since it's too early to go back to the dorms.
"This can be a double date." Yuri suddenly states as Chaewon chokes on the strawberry milk she was sipping whereas Minjoo pats her back calmly.
Double date? That's the stupidest thing she hears today and again with Minjoo? Hell no, over Chaewon's dead body. Yena probably can predict Chaewon is going to decline the offer, she tells Chaewon that this is the best offer knowing that she wouldn't go back to the stinky gym again. She has no choice, double date it is.
The four of them decides to walk, Yena and Yuri in the front while Minjoo and Chaewon are just tailing them from the back.
"You know they are totally using us so they can spend more time with each other." Minjoo said as Chaewon nods in agreement. Chaewon likes it when Minjoo have braincells.
Chaewon pulls Minjoo into a small repair shop near the mall to grab her laptop. The old repair man is currently sneering at Chaewon like a perverted pedophile. As a result, Minjoo sneaks her hand over Chaewon's waist. Chaewon is baffled due to Minjoo's action but let it be as they went out of horrible place and tries to forget that abhorrent encounter.
"Don't ever go to that place again." Minjoo sternly command Chaewon earning a nod as she swats Minjoo's hands in the waist.
"I am used to those stares though." Chaewon quietly chuckles.
As Yena and Yuri already long gone and out of sight, both Minjoo and Chaewon are starving so they decided to grab a meal at the food court using the lift.
Seems like the world is against them but the whole mall decides to have a black out. The bad is thing now is that they are stuck. Although both of them are actually relieved that they are only the one in lift but won't admit it. Chaewon receives a call from Yena, asking where the fuck are they. Chaewon explains that they are stuck in the lift when the mall blacked out, she can hear Yena and Yuri laughing on the other side. Chaewon ends the call, fuming.
"So we are stuck."
"No shit Sherlock." Chaewon replies to Minjoo rolling her eyes in the dark.
Silence takes over the lift, it is pitch black. Minjoo decides to approach Chaewon by reaching her hands, more like guessing where her hands are. A loud high pitch shierk overpowers the small room, it was Chaewon's.
"Shut up, it was me loser." Minjoo holds Chaewon more, now back hugging Chaewon.
"Don't touch me pervert, " Chaewon teases she uses her smartphone's torch to see clearly, Minjoo let out that frog-like offended expression which made Chaewon burst out of laughter.
Their legs have given up, so they sit down on the floor. Chaewon has a idea, to waste some time, they can watch some movies she had saved in her drive. She picks Princess and the Frog just because Minjoo is like one, no doubt.
"So you're telling me you pick this film just because i look like a dumb frog?" Minjoo asks Chaewon as Chaewon just nod. "You're the princess then." "Fuck off and let's just enjoy the movie."
After awhile, the movie ends and the credit starts playing. They were stuck in their for quite a long time, remembering that they haven't eat yet. Minjoo's stomach starts to grumble so does Chaewon's.
"Holy shit," Chaewon gasp. She just turned off her airplane mode, ten misscalls from Eunbi, five misscalls from Chaeyeon. Seeing Chaewon's reaction, Minjoo also turns off her airplane mode and gets a bunch of notifications. Their study groupchat. As they are replying to the texts, the lift opens as the light have also turn up. They hurrily pack their things and dash out of the lift.
Minjoo glances at her phone clock, it is just six minutes before ten. They wouldn't make it to their dorms even if they run as fast as they could. Minjoo just sigh, she was never away from the dorm after ten. The thought of being away from the dorms scares her but it is also thrilling, it's a new experience for Minjoo. The fact that she's with Chaewon, she feels safe. They walk out of the mall.
"Let's just go to the nearest cafe around here, i know a place where it is open at midnight until sunrise." Chaewon interlock her hands with Minjoo as she drags her. Minjoo never think that Chaewon's hands are tiny, it's cute. It makes Minjoo feel like she has the authority to protect this small precious human being.
After a long walk, they reach the cafe. It has a unique interior design, mint is a dominant color in the place. It suits Chaewon, in Minjoo's point of view. The cafe also has a lot of painting hanging on the walls, beautiful ones. They decide to sit near the window as they order.
"I am getting what you are getting." Minjoo speaks as her eyes shifts outside, to the night starry sky. Chaewon shruggs as she orders two Earl Grey tea.
Chaewon then specify that Minjoo is the first person that she brings to this special place. The tea arrives, at the perfect timing. "Thanks Sakura." The waitress smiles.
Minjoo learns that Chaewon oftentimes go here when she's feeling down or just stress in general. This is Chaewon's runaway spot, Minjoo is honored to be here as they now share a same secret place.
