After having sipping her tea, Minjoo decides to scan the place once more, in detail while Chaewon just nods as she unpacks her MacBook. There are tons different types of cakes like Mint Chocolate Muffins, Cupcakes and Cookies. Minjoo learns that Chaewon loves mint. Minjoo can't understand why Chaewon enjoys that toothpaste-like flavor.
A sudden invitation of a group all catches their attention, as Chaewon's phone about to die so they accept using Minjoo's instead.
"Where are you at Minjoo?! Are you with Chaewon?" Wonyoung yells but then let out a relief sigh since she sees a strawberry haired girl beside Minjoo.
"So you guys are going to stay the night out together?" Chaewon asks as she wriggle her eyes and gives a teasing smile.
"Scandalous." Yena remarks earning a laughter from the whole group.
"Shut the fuck up Choi Yena, we have no choice duh." Chaewon replies, not even going to glance at the group call as she is busy with her laptop. Yena then hurriedly tells Chaewon to go back as soon as possible as she doesn't want to be a third-wheel in the dorm. After some chats and gossips, most of them decides to go to sleep, the other wish both Minjoo and Chaewon to be safe.
The sky is just like black tranquility married to a poetry of stars. It is the softness that called body and brain to rest and let the heart go to its steady rhythm. Night came as a reward of sorts, a restfulness above to calm the soul. Having a cup of tea with Chaewon at midnight never crosses Minjoo's mind, as it is vice versa too with Chaewon.
The neon haired girl starts to let of out a lengthy yawn. Her eyes are droppy and flickering to stay awake. "You should sleep, i will wake you up around six." Chaewon said while stiring her third glass of Earl Grey.
Minjoo is about to argue saying that she wants to accompany the latter but Chaewon insist to sleep. "We should make midnight hangouts our thing." Minjoo murmurs as she leans to the table trying to find a comfortable position, "I like spending my midnights with you."
Chaewon let out a small smile as it goes unnoticed by Minjoo as she is facing the window. Light snores comes from Minjoo's side after a few minutes. Chaewon is technically bored but she isn't sleepy yet so she decides to draw to kill time. Taking a piece of blank paper and her pencil case from her gucci bag.
After contemplating what to draw, of course Chaewon is a sucker for somethingㅡfuck that rather than something, it's someone that's beautiful. Minjoo, the human Aphrodite, becomes her muse tonight.
Chaewon sketches swiftly the beautiful sleeping girl in front of her, a sleeping beauty. From her neon hair color which fades to some sort of pastel pink, to the details of her face. Even her eyelids, sculptured by the God's above. Chaewon never knew eyelids can be this beautiful. Her nose has the perfect angle as it compliment her pink luscious lips.
Chaewon realizes that Minjoo is shivering, she then takes off her school blazer and put it on Minjoo like a blanket. Sakura, the waitress, saw the whole interaction which makes her grinning like a fool.
"Such a gentlewoman." Sakura hollers from the cashier earning a groan from Chaewon as she returns to her chair not forgetting to order a mint chocolate cookie to keep her awake.
It is four in the morning, Chaewon has no plans to sleep. She's too focus in trying to create her masterpiece of the knocked out neon girl. Sakura just shakes her head knowing that the girl isn't sleeping, her shift comes to a end as she waves at Chaewon.
Five in the morning, Chaewon clearly is proud of her artwork yet immediately putting it back in her bag so Minjoo won't notice that Chaewon just pulled an all-nighter just to draw her. Chaewon stretches as she's also sleepy but she can just sleep at school, not that she cares anyway.
Thirty minutes until six, Chaewon decides to wake Minjoo up by shaking her. Minjoo didn't respond, Chaewon gets impatient as she smacks Minjoo's hands. Minjoo starts to buffer as she groans. Minjoo opens her eyes, her day starts with Chaewon. She can get use to that. Minjoo abruptly sits straights as Chaewon's blazer fell on the ground. "You were shivering." Chaewon states, letting Minjoo know as she thanked her. Chaewon pays for everything, Minjoo argues that she wants to pay as well but Chaewon ignores it, telling that Minjoo can pay next time.
They leave the cafe as Chaewon looks so tired. Minjoo suddenly stops and is in a kneeling kind of position, Chaewon isn't sure what was the latter trying to do.
"Hop on, i know you're sleepy and don't try to argue with me." Minjoo claims as she waits for Chaewon. Chaewon scoffs, there's no way she's going to be piggyback by Minjoo, it's just too humiliating. Seeing nothing would change Minjoo's mind, Chaewon hops on Minjoo. "I agree because i am so sleepy right now."
Minjoo's piggyback Chaewon until she reach the dorms. Hearing Chaewon's steady breathing, Minjoo don't have the urge to wake the girl up. Chaewon isn't heavy, it's just Minjoo is a weak girl. She needs to go to the gym more.
After a few minutes walk towards Chaewon's dorm, Minjoo knocks the door. It is welcomed by almost the whole member. Minjoo puts Chaewon softly on the sofa earning a tease by Yena. Both Chaeyeon and Eunbi thank Minjoo saying that Chaewon is a troublemaker but Minjoo denies, she is return some favor. Minjoo also tell them that Chaewon was up all night because if they both sleep, they may have miss school. Eunbi asks where didn't they stay, but remembering it is a secret between the two, Minjoo scratches her nape and apologizes that she couldn't share such information. Eunbi understandingly nods.
Then finally, Minjoo walks back to their dorm. After practically banging the door, Yuri opens it and gasps. Minjoo is totally exhausted because lifting Chaewon, but it's totally worth it for her. Wonyoung and Yujin also wakes up and begin to bombard Minjoo with stupid questions.
With pulling an all-nighter, Chaewon is very drowsy. Let alone more lethargic than ever which makes the teacher scold her and commands her to join detention after school. Chaewon just sigh, at least she can sleep at detention.
"Hey, this why you shouldn't pull an all-nighter dumbass" Yena blantly smacks Chaewon's head, earning a growl from the latter.
The rest of the school ends in a flash, Chaewon is about to go with the others to study together but she remembers that she has detention to attend to. Minjoo is lowkey somber with the whole situation but acts fine. So the group goes without Chaewon as she lazily jogs to the detention room.
Chaewon realizes that the study group meeting today is very important. She has a mock exam tomorrow which she needs more help and understanding so she decides to ask Minjoo tonight by sending some questions papers. Little did she know, this is where she fucked up.
