Chaewon was right when the whole chaos would be forgotten after a week as Minjoo couldn't be happier. Now the squad basically are hanging out at their study place, Starbucks.
"Someone is having her birthday in a couple of days huh," Eunbi nudges Chaewon who pretend to not hear the girl. That day, Minjoo learns that Chaewon's birthday is on the first of August.
"I am not a fan of huge ass birthday parties nor actually celebrating it. I mean, we are just getting old." Chaewon sips the usual London Fog, her go to order at Starbucks.
"Oh come on, don't be such an emo dumbass." Yena says while side-hugging Yuri as she continues, "Minjoo here can give you birthday seㅡ" Yena is cut by Yuri covering her mouth.
Minjoo's cheeks are suddenly kissed pink like a spring rose, the blooming colour so cute against her porcelain skin. She looks away and finds a distraction as she attempted to hide her face behind her chalky-white fingers. Chaewon just chuckles at the sight as she ruffles Minjoo's pastel hair.
"So like what's the deal between the two of you seriously" Wonyoung glances at the both of them. Chaewon shrugs, why does the squad keep asking about this matter isn't it clear?
"We are just friends?"
Maybe because it's Minjoo's monthly period or those words seems to sting a lot. It hurts Minjoo, more than she wants it to be. She stands up then furiously dashes away from the place. The only thing she can hear is Chaewon's voice calling her name. Minjoo tries to run as fast as possible but the latter catch up. Chaewon grabs Minjoo's arms and stops the girl.
"Minjoo iㅡ" "Chaewon stop it. We aren't just friends and you fucking know it." That's the last sentence Chaewon hears from Minjoo before the latter slaps her and sprint away.
Chaewon goes back with heavy steps and the squad glares her. Chaewon sighs, as she calmly sips the tea. "I have my reasons okay." Their hangout ends in a bitter way, probably for Minjoo and Chaewon. They return to their dorm before the curfew.
Chaewon just finished taking a bath, Yena is playing some games as both Eunbi and Chaeyeon are casually making out at the sofa. Chaewon purposely coughs loudly to gain their attention. "Can you guys making out for a second, i need to talk to Eunbi. Alone." Chayeon scowls at the word alone that the latter seems to highlight yet she sulk and go to her room whereas Eunbi found it very adorable.
Chaewon then immediately gets down to business. She just bombards Eunbi with the knowledge she has. The girl expounds that Minjoo could be the girl who cause her parents death although the chances are slim. Eunbi shakes her head, Chaewon is just going overboard with her theories is she? Chaewon then provide Eunbi with more information such as that first, Chaewon never met the girl. Second, Minjoo has some traumatic tendencies with a car. Eunbi miscount how many braincells she lost.
Eunbi hates it how it actually make sense as she understands how Chaewon hesitant about Minjoo. "Hey, what if it's actually Minjoo? What will you do?" Eunbi cautiously asks Chaewon. "I don't want to think about it."
The next day, they are told that Hitomi is getting expelled from the school as both Chaewon and Minjoo are called to see the principal. Minjoo doesn't want to meet Chaewon right now yet there's nothing she can do. Minjoo was hurt by the latter's words. Both of their eyes meets for awhile then Minjoo decides to look away. Basically the principal is asking forgiveness from Minjoo and Chaewon regarding the "bullying" happen to them last week. Both of them nods as they accept since they have already moved on from the incident.
"Make sure when you guys naughty things, you look around first!" The principal states making both of them wheeze. "I didn't expect this behavior from you Minjoo, i never thought you are willing to skip class for, that. Chaewon seems to be special for you i assume?" The principal wiggles his eyebrows as he smirks.
Chaewon had enough as she drags Minjoo out of the room and interlock their hands, not forgetting to say thank you. "What a fucking pervert, can't believe he is our principal. Chaewon is confuse why the latter isn't saying anything, when she looks back at Minjoo, the latter is just staring at their hands.
"Why do you have a problem with it? I can let go if you're uncomfortable." Chaewon smirks at the girl. Minjoo answers a bit too fast, "N-no. I like it. I like everything that is related to you."
The two of the walks side by side while holding hands, earning alot of attentions. Chaewon sends them her infamous death glare as she scares some students, Minjoo giggles. "Hey Minjoo! Ms. Kang told me to inform you that your parents are here with her in the meeting room." Yujin yells at the pastel haired girl.
Minjoo gasps, knowing the fact that her parents are here that means that she isn't in the top two smartest student in school anymore. The latter seems to be shaking as Chaewon calms her down with a side hug, " I will accompany you." Minjoo nods and smiles.
They hurriedly walks to the meeting room as fast as possible. Both Minjoo and Chaewon decides to let go of each other's hand to not make a weird impression on Minjoo's parents. Minjoo then calls her parents since they are facing the other way.
"Mom! Dad!" Minjoo's parents turn around, Chaewon jawdrops. She didn't thing this will happen so fast.
"Minjoo! and..Chaewon?" "Good afternoon, Mr and Mrs. Kim." Chaewon bows politely confusing the pastel haired girl. Minjoo nudges Chaewon to explain how on Earth she knows both of her parents when Chaewon never meet them. Minjoo's mom cuts Chaewon as she decides to tell Minjoo.
"Sweetie, remember the accident that causes you some traumatic events? The car crash? The one that's inside the car are Chaewon's parents."
