"We are friends, Minjoo."
It echoes around Minjoo, her mind is still a surging perplexity. Her world seems to crumble bit by bit. "But, friends don't know the way you taste." Minjoo mumbles softly and weakly. There is something in that mumble that irks Charwon, a pain behind it she may believe. Chaewon just stares, wanting the latter's next move. She knows the latter was hurt, nothing but a shield for pain, like a cornered soldier randomly throwing out grenades, scared for life yet desperate.
Chaewon puts a fake smile, "Eunbi and i are friends." She didn't just go there did she, a frown is plastered on Minjoo's face. That is just a pure nefarious alibi. As if it can get a lot worse, Minjoo wants to just disappear. Chaewon checks her phone, ignoring Minjoo. It was a notification she said, from Eunbi that Yena and her should go back to their dorm because they need help about something which is probably a fat lie. Chaewon quickly yells at Yena yet gaining all the attention of the people at the dorm. Without any warning, Chaewon grabs Yena and gives a sweet chaste kiss. Yena is genuinely surprise, as she immediately touches her lips.
She sees the shock register on everyone's face, especially Minjoo before the latter had a chance to hide it. A small smile played on her lips. It wasn't what we all expect to happen, her actions before were like vanilla pudding, sweet in their ordinary sort of way, it was the richness of her tones – luxurious and warm. Now it's just spicy, like mint. Her favorite. "You bitch." Yuri spits as Chaewon is unaffected with such commotion, she then drags Yena and leaves.
The walk to their dorm is quick, probably Chaewon doesn't want to discuss anything with Yena right now but Yena is the opposite. As they enter the dorms, Yena holds Chaewon's collar as pushes her towards a wall. Chaewon grunts, merely at the rough impact. Yena is more than furious, but not because Chaewon kissed her in front of Yuri. It's because she isn't able to confess to Yuri because of the spawn of satan in front of her.
Chaewon is so over these things but then she's the one who brings the drama to herself. Nevertheless, Chaewon rides with the flow. Everything happens for a reason she believes but Yena isn't having it. Yena punches the wall, near Chaewon's face but latter didn't flinch. "You know, you stop having some pathetic crush over me and confess to Yuri dumbass or maybe Yuri will confess to you first later due to my actions. Who knows?"
Yena wants to punch the latter but she can't. That cocky smile glazes on her lips, Chaewon knows Yena can't destroy her. Chaewon swats Yena's hands from her collar. Yena is frozen, Chaewon's words stabs her too deep, it hits home.
Chaeyeon and Eunbi casually joins in, questioning the other two. Chaewon just shrug it off. "The air here smells like sex." Chaewon nudges a shy Chaeyeon earning a laugh from Eunbi. "The same air in the other dorm when i was about to shit." Yena bitterly interrupts, Chaewon sends deadly glares toward Yena. Yena then asks Eunbi and Chaeyeon what did they need help with but the two just questions the girl.
"I can't believe you lied just to sneak away from Minjoo after you had sex with her yet you friendzone her." Yena blabbers earning gasps from the couple. Chaewon ruffles her hair due to stress, she then closes her eyes and take a deep breath. After a whole hour, she begins to pack her clothes into some big bag, ready to leave. "Where the fuck do you think you're going Kim Chaewon." Eunbi blocks the door as Chaewon sigh, she has no energy to fight right now. Away, Chaewon is just having a runaway trip. Chaewon gives Eunbi some details that she will be away for either a week or two. Eunbi looks at Chaewon with disbelief yet she can't say no to the girl. Chaewon is off, somewhere, to the unknown region.
On the other hand, Minjoo is making some tea for herself to calm down but it's funny how looking at this Earl Grey tea reminds her of Chaewon. The session they had in the bathroom was magical, but then it seems that it meant a lot more to Minjoo then Chaewon.
"I am going to slap that slut twice, one for hurting you and second for kissing Yena." Yuri clenched are fist as if she is ready to beat up someone.
Minjoo defends Chaewon, telling Yuri that she shouldn't go around calling Chaewon names. "I swear she got you wrap around her fingertips." Yuri rolls her eyes, Minjoo looks back at both Wonyoung and Yujin but apparently they aren't on her side. "She has been kind of a bad influence to you i presume, i see that your scores are drastically dropping." Wonyoung states while bitting the candy that she shares with Yujin. "You know, you should date me instead," Yujin says while Wonyoung chokes on the candy.
Minjoo's life is just like a roller-coaster right now. She can't barely get a blink of sleep, tossing and turning back and forth. She scratches her nape, it's four in the morning. Minjoo decides to open her instagram, scrolling down due to boredom. She sees a new instagram stories from the strawberry haired girl, getting curious she opens it. A night sky is visible, a sky above that belonged in the museum of modern art right alongside Van Gogh's starry night. The light radiated from every star and her distorted lenses twisted it into gleeful patterns, Chaewon is an amazing photographer.
Minjoo decides to slide to Chaewon's direct message, she doesn't expect an answer from the latter. Minjoo questions the latter's location due to the time stamp was around three in the morning. Minjoo sighs, it is already five. She clumsy tries to get some sleep and worry about the Ares later on.
The sun is wide awake and Minjoo can't believe she's already walking to school. Her phone vibrates, it is a text from Chaeyeon. Minjoo genuinely forgot about their group chat since it's been awhile since they had a proper group conversation after that ridiculous drama. As she is reading the text, she sees Chaeyeon, Eunbi and Yena. She blinks twice to make sure she isn't hallucinating. Chaewon is nowhere to be found, Minjoo then approach the three asking where Chaewon is.
"Oh so you think the fact at Chaewon kissed me, i know where is she now?" Yena sarcastically answers Minjoo. It is such a rude answer, Minjoo is politely asking yet she is treated this way? fuck. Yuri spots Minjoo loitering near Yena, she then drags Minjoo as Wonyoung and Yujin gives them a dirty look.
What the fuck happened to their bond right now? Something must be done.
