Y/N's POV

--------------------------

I wake up in Phil's arms. If someone were to see this, they would probably think we're together or think that we like each other. Though, we aren't together and we never will like each other. We thought we liked each other once;it just didn't work out. So we stuck to being close friends.

"Phil... Phil?" I say, poking his nose. He doesn't budge, so I get out of his grasp and start walking towards the kitchen. "Fine, if you won't wake up, then I'll get ice." With that, he shoots up.

"What? Don't ice me," he whines.

"I won't now that you're up. Come on, let's make some breakfast."

"You're going to make breakfast. You should know that I would probably burn the house down." He pauses and whispers," that's why I eat Dan's cereal."

"Ooh. What kind of cereal?"

"Its honey crisps."

"Where is the cereal?" I smirk, trying to steal the cereal.

He smirks, knowing my plan. "Come on before he gets home."

We laugh and we sneak some of Dan's cereal. I look up and see Phil's cereal as well. He has the better cereal, but Dan's is just as good, whoever Dan is.

"He's going to kill me," Phil says, laughing.

"Well, I never ate his cereal. You did."

"No, don't put all the blame to me."

"Fine, but I gotta say, yours is the better cereal. Though, Dan has great taste."

"That's kind of funny. Dan steals my cereal but eats his own as well. He prefers mine but he said his is just as good."

"Wow, Dan and I are related in thought. By the way, when is he-"

"Hey Phil, I'm home."

"Hey!"

"Where are you?" he asks, me laughing quietly.

"In the kitchen!"

I hear footsteps get closer to where we are. Phil, of course, gives me the cereal box. I look at him with fear and throw the box back at him. He throws it back at me and as soon as I was about to throw it back to him, Dan walks in. He looks at me and then at Phil.

"Why does Y/n have my cereal?" he asks, clearly confused.

"Phil gave me it and told me to eat it." Dan looks at Phil.

"No! Don't put me to blame. You wanted his cereal too. It was your idea!" Phil says, freaking out. I just laugh.

"Hmm, who to believe? Should I believe Y/n, someone who I just met, or Phil, someone who I've known for years now?" he smirks at me. "I'll believe Phil on this one because he's talked a lot about you saying how you used to steal his cereal."

"Haha. Great first impression huh?"

He smiles at me and puts out his hand. "Yeah but it doesn't matter. I'm Dan."

I shake his hand and say, "I know. Phil has talked a lot about you. I'm Y/n."

"Same for you. Well, it was finally nice to meet you I guess," he said awkwardly.

"Nice to meet you too."

"Finally, my two best friends have met. We all should go out sometime today."

"Sure," Dan and I said in unison. We look at each other and laugh.

I take note of his features. When he stands next to Phil, he's slightly taller, which I'm definitely gonna tease Phil about. He has soft brown eyes almost the same colour as a chestnut and his hair is straight, probably straightened because there are some parts that are curly. When he smiles, his dimples shine. Overall, he's cute, no he's handsome. Shut up me, you can't think that.

"Y/n, you alright?" Phil asks, waving a hand in front of my face.

"Sorry, what?" I feel guilty for zoning out. Wait, what was I looking at when I zoned out?

"You were just staring at Dan." Fuck.

"Shit, sorry. I was just thinking," I tell Dan.

"About?" Dan asks.

"Oh nothing. Home problems." Phil decides to walk out leaving us alone.

"You sure you were thinking about home problems?" he smirks. He's catching on. I look down trying to think of an excuse again. "You know I'm joking, right?" he tells me, holding my chin up. Why am I enjoying this so much? You like Joe, remember?

"Yeah. I have a lot going on is all," I frown.

"Okay. Are you actually okay though? You seem...upset?"

"I'm fine. Let's catch up to Phil. He's probably already down the street."

"True. Let's go."

I get my shoes on and Dan and I walk down the road. We were right actually. Phil was at the end of the road before noticing that we were gone.

"Sorry. I thought you guys were with me," he's just like a child.

"Its okay. Come on. We don't want to lose you again," I grab his hand and he drags me towards the shops.

I look back behind me and Dan is smiling at us. Though, I see something flowing through his eyes. Sadness.
