~Nephinae~

"Hey, Nephinae, wake up," I groaned and rolled away from the voice in my ear.

"It's too early," I whined.

"Come on, master. You start school today. You don't want to be late on your first day, do you?"

"Ugh, fine." I huffed, sitting up.

My tangled blonde hair fell into my face as I climbed out of bed.

Looking over at the other two beds in the room, I saw that the blue haired dove girl, Sylviana, was just waking up as well. Elviya was buried so far under her covers I could barely see her, but I could tell from the sound of her steady breathing that she was still asleep.

I was about to grab the dress I wore yesterday when I noticed a neatly folded pile of black and gray clothing at the end of the bed. Walking over to it, I discovered it was a uniform.

As I put it on, I found that it fit perfectly. The skirt went down past my knees and the sleeves partially covered my hands. There was a dainty white ribbon hanging from the collar of the shirt and my shoes had black bows with little ribbons that laced up around my legs.

Next to the uniform I also found a large, black bag. When I picked it up, I saw that my name had been sewn on the inside of the strap with golden colored thread.

Inside the back were five leather bound books with blank pages in them. there were three pots of black ink and a set of gray quills in a foldable leather case. At the very bottom was a rolled up scroll. I opened it.

"Looks like my schedule," I thought after reading over it.

"Emiko, Luna, are you two ready to go?" I quietly asked to the familiars.

"Yes master," Emiko replied.

"of course, Nephi." Luna added.

They bounded over and wiggled into my bag.

"Oh, Hi Nephinae. I didn't know you were up already," I looked up to see Sylviana walking over to me.

"I was just about done getting ready," I replied.

"Oh. Can I help with anything? I'd love to style your hair for you, if you don't mind."

"Sure. I don't mind," I sat down on my bed and the blue haired girl jumped up behind me.

She took out a brush and started pulling it through my tangled hair.

"So, you're joining the academy today?" She asked after a few moments.

"Yeah. I finished my registration last night." I answered.

"That's great! What do you say to a twin tail look?"

"Sure."

I tried my best to sit still while she sectioned and tied up my hair with light blue ribbons.

"You look so cute!" She grinned," All done!"

"Thanks, Sylviana."

"You know you can just call me Sylvie, ok?"

"Then, call me Nephi." I answered.

"Sure. Elvi, we're leaving now. Hurry up and get dressed or we'll leave for breakfast without you." Sylviana called to the brunette still sleeping.

"I'm up, I'm up," she groaned, rolling over. I'm pretty sure she just went back to sleep, but I followed Sylviana down to the commons anyway.

A black haired boy was sitting on one of  the couches with a book in his hands. His familiar, a gray white owl, was perched on top of his head.
