Kabanata 2

Lalaine's POV

"Hay nako asado ka na naman." Inilapit ni Lyka ang mukha niya sa 'kin, bahagya akong nagulat kaya't itinulak ko siya. She laughed on what I did and continued teasing me. I rolled my eyes at her.

It was saturday and we planned to hang out since there were classes.

I just wore black maong shorts and white fitted sando. Also put on caramel denim jacket on top having the sleeves folded halfway. I wore my white sketchers and tied my hair in a bun.

Lyka was wearing black leggings and a red shirt with a stitch on the side. Kaka-iba 'tong babaeng 'to dahil lagi talaga siyang nagsusuot ng mga may tahi sa damit. Fashion niya daw. I shrugged.

We're going at Watsons to buy 'their' stuffs which I don't use. I don't really know why their putting such products on their faces, I mean, they're already beautiful with their faces bare so, what for?

Malapit ang mall na ito kaya't madaling puntahan. Madami ring tao dahil nga Sabado. The mall is composed of three buldings with 4 floors each. Gaya ng mga typical na malls, bukod sa stalls at nar'yan ang mga kabi-kabilang fastfood chains, restaurants, clothings, cinema and bazaars.

I am now with my friends or so called 'squad'. Every day offs I hang out with my friends just like any typical highschool students  do.

When we arrived at Watsons, they started telling me what to do.

"Lintik Lalaine wag ka na umasa diyan sa Troy na yan at masasaktan ka lang." Marie bit her lower lip to prevent from smiling. I crossed my arms and let my brows furrowed.

I just shrugged

She is Marie Reyes pinsan ni kai, una pa lang ayaw niya na si Troy para sa 'kin, she always tells me to stop my feelings for Troy 'cause according to her, I'll be the one left heartbroken in the end.

Siguro madami siyang alam dahil naririnig niya usapan ng pinsan niya at ni Troy, paniguradong lagi yun nandun sa bahay nila. Never naman siyang nag kwento.

Kai and Marie lives on the same house, dahil nasa ibang bansa yung magulang neto ni Marie. Madalas 'tong malungkot pero mas madalas siya yung nag cocomfort samin pag nadodown kami.

She was wearing maong pants with Gucci belt along with the fitted cropped top. She's also wearing make up and her hair is on one sided braid.

Our friendship started on 2nd year of highschool, we always end up in the same class that's why we became close to each other.

"Hindi naman masamang umasa ahh" I rolled my eyes as we went to the counter to get their things paid.

Hindi naman ako mahilig bumili ng kung ano-anong kaanikan sa katawan dahil kuntento na ko sa kung anong mayroon ako.

"Anakanang tupa Lalaine, oo nga hindi naman masama umasa eh ang kaso kung patuloy kang aasa jan eh lagi ka ring masasaktan," nilagay na ni Briana yung mga pinamili nila para ipunch dun sa counter.

Briana San Jose, singer sa squad namin, actually lahat sila'y marunong kumanta, ako lang talaga naiba kase sa sayaw ako nahasa.

She belonged to a band named 'The Singsong', they're always invited in every school program which helped her gain her fame. She's on the same class with Troy, Kai and Marie.

She's beautiful with angelic face. Among all of us, she is the kindest and the softest.

She was wearing black jeans partnered with white off shoulder top. Her hair is ponytailed that made her look innocent.  She wears a silver necklace and a little amount of lip and chick tint.

They started laughing as they hear what Briana said, they were so loud as if they're the only people inside. It was so embarrassing. Para kaming mga first timer sa mall at hindi namin alam rumespeto sa iba, squammies gano'n.

I shook my head as we leave the place. They were gossiping something I don't know. I was walking peacefully until I saw familiar face.

Fudge! Tama nga ko, si Kai! Sabi na, basta milktea magwawaldas ng pera 'tong mokong na 'to eh.

He's with someone and were going toing encounter them.

Troy....

"Oi insan!" Tawag ni Marie kay Kai habang mabilis na naglakad papunta sa kanila, she looks excited. At dahil yung mga kaibigan ko ay sumunod na sa kanya, wala na 'kong magawa kung 'di sumunod na din.

"Sup boi" Nag-fist bomb silang magpinsan. That closeness tho.

Lyka's awkward mode turned on, she started blushing.

Me too! I felt awkward, iiwasan ko na nga si Troy eh pero baket ganto lagi nalang nagkukrus landas namen. I hate it. 

I looked in the other direction acting like I didn't see anything.

"Tara Lyka cr muna tayo" palusot kong sabi sabay hila kay lyka, at wala naman siyang nagawa kaya nagpahila na lang din siya. Siya nalang siguro kakampi ko dito dahil parehas kami ng nararamdaman. Shocks.

"Oi! Bumalik kayo rito!" Sigaw ni Briana pero di na rin namin pinakinggan.

Hindi naman talaga 'ko naiihi ayoko lang talaga do'n. Nawalan na ko ng gana umasa, siguro nadala na din ako sa sinabi ng mga kaibigan ko.

"Where should we go?" I bit my lower lip. "Ewan ko sa 'yo, ikaw humatak sa 'kin palayo eh" She let a heavy sigh.

"Problema mo?" I looked at her.

"Eh kasi naman, chance ko na 'yon eh, I miss Kai so much." She pouted. Parang bata, kala ko naman nagalit talaga.

"Hay nako, di kita maintindihan, ayaw mo ko umasa kay Troy pero ikaw humaharot ka jan kay Kai." That's unfair. I rolled my eyes and took my phone out of my pocket and searched for a place we should go

"I'm way different than you." She glared at me. "Ako may chance, ikaw wala." My eyes widened as if reality hit me hard.

When we were continuously teasing each other, we saw available seats in front of a coffee shop and decided to settle there. We were busy talking to each other about how I'm done with Troy.

Sa kalagitnaan ng pag-uusap nami'y, bahagyang huminto sa pagtibok ang puso ko nang marinig ko ang katagang...

"Does you arm still hurt?"
