Melody's POV

After moving in with Sean, I was excited the whole week leading up to PAX. I was excited to fly down to PAX East with him. We had just arrived, and I was so happy. But not nearly as happy as Mark when he saw us together.

"Jack! Melody! There you are! I missed you guys!" Mark screamed, in true Mark fashion.

"Mark, screaming at people is Jack's thing. Dumbass," I rolled my eyes. Jack laughed at that and Mark pouted.

"Why are you so mean to me?"

"Because you love it, you fucking sadist."

"Ok, but can you not out me like this in public? Jack, control your woman."

"There is no controlling her Mark. She's her own person. And I happen to think she's quite funny," Jack answered, wrapping an arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

"Can you two stop being so damn adorable while I'm trying to lecture you?"

"Sorry, dad," I snickered.

"Melody Lupine, don't you dare speak to your father that way," Mark mocked scolded me, trying to contain his laughter. He didn't succeed.

"Great, now you've turned me into a giggly bitch," He said between giggles.

"No, I just brought it out. You were always a giggly bitch."

"Hey, you guys! Long time no see!" Wade said as he and Bob made their way over to us.

"Bob! Melody's being mean to me!"

"Putting him in his place already, huh Mel?"

"Damn straight. So uh, what are we doing?"

"Going to set up for the panel and signings."

"So you can make fools of yourselves in front of hundreds of people. Dumbasses," I shook my head.

"Babe, we do that daily anyway. It's nothin' new," Jack said before kissing my cheek. It earned us a chorus of 'awww' and I rolled my eyes.

"Why am I friends with the three of you again?"

"Because at least I'm funny," Bob answered.

"You right. But what about them?" I asked.

"I have no idea. It's a horrible idea, really, to be friends with them."

"Hey!" Mark screeched.

"Bob! I thought we were friends!" Wade sounded hurt.

"Look at the drama I caused, Jack," I laughed.

"You are too good at that." I grinned.

"It's a talent."

"It's really weird that you're calling me 'Jack' instead of 'Sean'," Jack whispered before kissing my cheek.

"This is YouTube related so I'm going to call you by your YouTube name. Unless that's not ok," I whispered back before reciprocating his loving action.

"Can you two stop being so fucking adorable?" Mark asked, totally fanboying.

"No," I shook my head slowly.

"Fucking bitch," Mark grumbled.

"Hey! Be nice to her!" Jack got after Mark.

"But Jack! She's being a bitch!"

"Mark, I'm always a bitch. This is nothing new."

"See?!" Mark through his hands in the air before pointing at me with all ten fingers, exasperated.

"You still need to be nice to her."

"Don't you guys need to set up?" I asked.

"Oh shit! Yes," Mark answered.

"You should go do that. I'm going to walk around and probably get lost. I'll text you later, ok?" I turned my attention to Jack.

"Ok," He laughed," I'll see you later." He pulled me in close and kissed me softly. I pulled away, kissed his forehead and then walked off. I winked at Jack before disappearing in the growing crowd.

Jack's POV

It hurt to watch her go, but she was right, we did need to set up.

"Guys, look at him. He's dying on the inside without her. She's literally his lifeline," Mark chuckled at me.

"You do the same thing with Amy," I pointed out.

"But we aren't talking about me and Amy, we're talking about you and Melody. And you got it so bad."

"So I'm in love with my girlfriend. Is that a crime?"

"No, it's just really cute," Wade said, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"If you say so. Come on, we got shit to do." We finished setting up in record time, and it wasn't long before it was time for the panel. Melody had found us fifteen minutes before we went on, and Mark teased us relentlessly.

"Mark, you do know that I'm not above murder, right?" Melody had said, a deathly glint in her eyes. He shut up after that, and Melody helped calm my jitters.

"Baby, it'll be fine. You've done this before, and you've even gone on tour. It'll be just fine. And I'll be here the whole time, ok?" I nodded, and hugged her, thanking her for her help. She always knew just what to say to help me. She was right, the panel went fine. But now it was time for the signing, and Melody wanted to venture around some more and see if she could find some people. It hurt to let her go alone, but I didn't have a choice, she was determined and I was too busy to fight her. That was the biggest mistake of my life.

Melody's POV

After the panel, which went awesome, I decided to walk around and see if I could find some YouTubers I liked and weren't already friends with. I managed to find my all-time favorite, Aphmau, and was talking to her when I received a weird text from my mom. I said my goodbyes and left the arena to meet my mother. I found it weird, since we were in Boston, and my mother lived in Maine, but she and my family could be on an adventure of their own.

"Hey, Mom!" I smiled, hugging her.

"Hey, Mel! I just wanted to see you, you never visit me," She pouted.

"Sorry, I've been busy with the new book and visiting Sean..."

"I get it, it's fine. You've made quite a life for yourself. I'm proud of you."

"Aww, thanks, mom. I'm proud of me too."

"I'm going to need all your shit," A new voice growled. I turned, and my eyes widened as a masked gunman fired his gun. The fear and regret in his eyes was immediate, and I dove, pushing my mother out of the way.

Jack's POV

I was happy enough meeting new fans, and getting to know them a bit when a gunshot fired not far from the arena. Me being me, I rushed to the site, as did a number of other people. And what I saw horrified me. My gorgeous girl, lying on her side, blood oozing out of her as if her supply was endless. I heard a voice scream her name, only realizing after the fact that it was mine. I ran to her and managed to catch a glimpse of the shooter running away in fear.

"Sean, she... she's..." Cheryl was crying hard, and I was too. I heard sirens screeching, but all I could focus on was my love's lifeless form.
