"Manny!" You jump up and look out the window.

"Manny why didn't you warn me!?" To your surprise, he didn't reply. You suddenly felt alone, is this how Holly felt?

"Cupid?" North calls jogging around the corner, armed with two swords. He sees you and sighs, lowering the weapons, "Jack! Over here!"

Being carried by wind, Jack soars around the corner and makes eye contact with you. He is relieved yet scared.

"(Y/n), what happened? Did you find her?" Jack asked, brushing his white hair from his eyes as he looked at your face, wiping some tears.

You held Jack's hand to your face, squeezing your eyes closed. Knowing, that if you spoke you'd break down, you held up the hat. Jack gently pulled his hand from your face and grabbed the glittered accessory.

"Uh, was this her?" North asked, inspecting the hole in the wall. You shrug, but nod none the less.

You turn, wanting to walk away, but run into a small man. At your feet stood Sandy, the little legend. He was inspecting the scene closely, so you stood to the side.

He waved at you before his eye caught something. You followed his gaze and found some sand on the window sill. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

'Black sand... I've only heard about that when....'

"Pitch." You gasp. Jack and North turn to look at you, surprise and fear painting their features.

"What?" Jack questions.

Your eyes drift to Sandy, who nodded at you.

"Pitch got her." You frown.

"How? Why?" North asked, stepping towards Sandy who, silently, held up a small pile of sand. North pinched it from his hand and glared, dusting it away.

"I .... don't know." You lied. You didn't want them to hate you for accidentally going against Manny's words. Of course, you didn't mean to upset her, but you could've tried harder to get her back. Too bad that Jack is such a charmer and kept you in your room.

Now she's gone. She's his.

"Well," North said, "We'll have to find her, and .... bring her back?" North didn't really know what to do, being unfamiliar with such a task.

"All we had to do was... keep her happy. Stop her from turning on us. Damn it!" Jack spoke harshly to himself. You stepped forward and held his hand, the one without the hat. He looked at it, as it glittered in the light, placing it on the window sill.

"Well, we need clues sooooo, you said Tooth came this way earlier?" North asked, taking off down the hallways. Jack pulls you along and nods, explaining that she flew past in a hurry.

You slowly gain a new sense of confidence and take into a stride. North takes in the information and holds the swords handle to his chin.

"Wait." He holds the sword out, barley missing you and Jack when you ducked beneath it. "We'll just talk to Tooth and go from there."

"Alright! Let's do it!" I look down at Sandy and receive a nod and a thumbs up.

"To the sleigh!" Jack announces, floating up and pulling you along down the hallway.

~~~
"Hello?" You call out, standing on the tall golden building, the slay behind you.
"NO!" Someone screams. You flap your wings to gain altitude, to get a better view point.
"Tooth!?" Jack calls, flying up beside you.
"No! Stop!" The voice calls again, and it's more feminine. You dive down and follow the echo, Jack on your tail.
You see a cloud of sand spiralling at the bottom of the towers. You see a particularly large group and flap your wings at it, blowing away the cloud.
You see Tooth curled in a ball, screaming. Jack flies down and shakes her, calling her name. You rush to the other clouds and flap away the sand. Flocks of traumatized fairies shivered and huddled together.
Suddenly all the sand drops and sweeps away. A deep chuckle rings out, soon followed by a high pitched giggle. You scoop up some fairies and hush them, trying to persuade them that they're safe.
"North!" You call out, and you hear his scream.
"Get away from me!" He screams and you place the fairies down, zooming back up to North. When you see him, he is swinging his blades around at random, jumping and flinching.
You equip your bow off your back and pull an arrow from your forearm. You shoot the swords from his grip and he screams.
You materialise some rope and wrap it around his body, pinning his arms to his side and he falls to the floor.
"North!" You shout, holding him down with your knee. You look and see his eyes, they're black.
"Snap out of it!" You slap North across the face, successfully seizing his screams.
He shakes his head and his eyes clear, looking up at you.
"Cupid. Cupid, thank god. It was so dark, and the elves! They were destroying everything!" He said in a panic, pulling from the ropes that disappeared into thin air.
"What are you talking about!?" You ask, jumping away and walking to the edge.
"It... it wasn't real." North says, coming to realisation and grabbing his swords. You shake your head, confused but afraid, feeling eyes on you.
"Jack!" You call out, taking off and looking for him.
"(Y/n)! No!" Jack calls out. He's floating in the air, swinging his staff. You zoom over and pull him into a hug, his eyes are black and you're unsure.
"I'm right here Jack!" You kiss him and he freezes. His eyes open again and he pulls away, holding your face.
"I-You-I thought you died!" He pulls you in for a hug. You sigh but pull back.
"Something is creating illusions and they're scaring you guys!" You says.
"Not something." A deep voice says, and from the corner emerges Pitch. In the flesh.
"Someone." Another voice says. You turn around, feeling a crawl up your spine. It's her.
"And I don't play by the rules."
Holly Haunts. Halloween spirit.
