"Do you usually stay here alone?"
Adrien turned around to face the vaguely familiar voice. It was the girl from the park, Y/N. He beamed and waved at her.
"Oh, hey, Y/N. How are you?" Adrien invited her to sit with him on the stair ledge. Natalie and the chauffeur hadn't arrived yet due to some traffic, so he had some time to talk to the new girl. Maybe make a new friend.
"I'm fine, Adrien. And you?" Y/N sat with him on the stair ledge, happy to set her schoolbag down that was full of homework, thanks mostly to Ms. Mendeliev. She would have gone home, but there was time before her family got home and also, something didn't sit right with her seeing Adrien alone. "Everything okay?"
"I'm alright, thanks. Just waiting for my ride," Adrien explained. "It's just traffic. It's okay, though." He appreciated her concern, but he wondered why she was was still here. "Not that it's any of my business, but why are you still here? Do you have any after school plans?"
Y/N shook her head. "Not really. It's just that I have some time before my family gets home and I didn't want to stay home if it's empty, you know? Plus, I want to go out and explore the city for any cool spots to go and hang."
Adrien nodded, understanding what she meant. "I see what you mean. Paris is full of cool places, but it depends on what you like. There's the Louvre, the Musée Grévin, my friend Marinette's parents have an awesome bakery, there's also the ice rink, the Jardin des Tuileries, the Trocadéro, and tons of other cool places."
"That's really helpful, Adrien, thank you." Y/N was glad to have learned of all those places. "I might stop by Marinette's bakery to start and pick up some snacks." She hopped off the stair ledge and turned to him. "Would you like to come with? I mean, that is if you want to, of course."
Adrien sighed internally. He received a text from Natalie letting him know that she and the chauffeur would arrive briefly. "I'd love to but I can't. My ride just texted me and I have a shoot to go to in a bit. I'm so sorry." He felt kinda bad for declining, but he hoped Y/N wouldn't be offended.
Y/N grinned. "Adrien, chill. It's okay, don't worry. In fact, if you want, how about some other time?"
"That would be great, actually. I can give you my number now and maybe we can hang out sometime during the weekend. Is it cool if I bring my friend Nino?" Adrien said as he wrote down his phone number and gave it to her.
"Yeah, that's not a problem. Your friends are always welcome to come and chill. Thanks for your number." Y/N texted him after getting his number. "Okay, so you have my number now. Be sure to call if you want to make plans and want to hang out."
At this point, Natalie and the chauffeur had pulled up the school entrance.
"Yeah, I'll do that. I, uh, have to go now, but we can talk later." Adrien waved goodbye to Y/N, to which she did the same. "See you later, Y/N."
Y/N grinned. "See you, Adrien."
